I got a note from Mr. Moran, the PR guy at Absolut. It reads" "The ad has been down -- have you not seen the Pears ad in its place?"

Yeah, and I’d love to see a map of Sweden colored green with a giant sword and crescent on it since the muzzies are taking over Sweden. I doubt the Swedes are going to find it ‘edgy’ or ‘provocative’ like we’re supposed to.
I put the entire email on the thread. I don’t think the ad was ever up anywhere else. It was reported as being run in Mexico. I have no idea where else it was run. If you look at the prior threads, the company tries to rationalize this. They talk about each place having a different ‘history’ and how they are trying to find something that gets the people going to get their attention (my paraphrasing).
Do a search here on FR and you’ll see there has been a lot of interest in this.
