Attn McCain Apologists: Talk all you want!
But he's still a constitution trampling RINO and unless he repeals McCain-Feingold, repudiates amnesty and global warming, drops all support for embryonic stem cell research and stops talking about partnering up with the Democrats and instead swears to fight the evil bastards he won't be getting my support.
You kicked the conservatives to the curb and nominated your RINO, now all you gotta do is get him elected.
However, that shouldn't be all that tough to do. Look what he'll be running against. A corrupt, power hungry Marxist radical feminist control freak or a corrupt, America-hating racist Marxist surrender monkey (oops, can I say "surrender monkey" in this context?). Can't see America going for either of those two useful idiots.
By the way, "change" is a Marxist codeword.
As they say, America deserves better.
Carry on.
P.S.
Or, you can select a kick butt pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-America, pro-gun, pro-drilling, pro-defense, pro-small government, fiscal conservative as your running mate and signal a return to traditional conservatism as the future of the GOP and of America and you will get all the support you need. If she's a moose hunting Alaskan army mom, all the better!
NOTE TO ALL MCCAIN APOLOGISTS: McCain may not suck as bad as the DhimmiCraps' loser candidates, but he still sucks. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it. I DRINK TOUR MILKSHAKE, FOOLS.
Seems reasonable to presume, McCain’s selection for VP is still a decision being formulated.
If I’m not mistaken, at least a portion of the still-hot rhetoric, is a very well intentioned effort (which just might work) to convince McCain in his choice for running mate.
Duncan Hunter would be an awesome selection, IMHO.
Either Condi Rice (I know, ducking... but I like her) or Mitt Romney would be almost like rocket fuel for the ticket.
Would you believe him? Anything short of him working to make the Schuler/Sessions bill happen is not enough.
Sure, you can say ‘surrender monkey’ but please use the entire correct phrase and precede it by ‘cheese eating’....
:)
FROM CS LEWIS' "THE ABOLITION OF MAN" (well worth reading IN FULL!):
We have been trying, like Lear, to have it both ways: to lay down our human prerogative and yet at the same time to retain it. It is impossible. Either we are rational spirit obliged for ever to obey the absolute values of the Tao, or else we are mere nature to be kneaded and cut into new shapes for the pleasures of masters who must, by hypothesis, have no motive but their own `natural' impulses. Only the Tao provides a common human law of action which can over-arch rulers and ruled alike. A dogmatic belief in objective value is necessary to the very idea of a rule which is not tyranny or an obedience which is not slavery...
...I am not here thinking solely, perhaps not even chiefly, of those who are our public enemies at the moment. The process which, if not checked, will abolish Man goes on apace among Communists and Democrats no less than among Fascists. The methods may (at first) differ in brutality. But many a mild-eyed scientist in pince-nez, many a popular dramatist, many an amateur philosopher in our midst, means in the long run just the same as the Nazi rulers of Germany/Traditional values are to be `debunked' and mankind to be cut out into some fresh shape at the will (which must, by hypothesis, be an arbitrary will) of some few lucky people in one lucky generation which has learned how to do it. The belief that we can invent `ideologies' at pleasure, and the consequent treatment of mankind as mere υλη, specimens, preparations, begins to affect our very language. Once we killed bad men: now we liquidate unsocial elements. Virtue has become integration and diligence dynamism, and boys likely to be worthy of a commission are `potential officer material'. Most wonderful of all, the virtues of thrift and temperance, and even of ordinary intelligence, are sales-resistance.
...And all the timeÂsuch is the tragi-comedy of our situationÂwe continue to clamour for those very qualities we are rendering impossible. You can hardly open a periodical without coming across the statement that what our civilization needs is more 'drive', or dynamism, or self-sacrifice, or 'creativity'. In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.

“...How come the dupes in the senate don’t get it...?”
I’ve been a long time coming to this, but it’s because they are:
1. clueless
2. spineless
3. STUPID
Damn. Was that an Opus?
;>)
I couldn’t agree more.
America’s breathing it’s last gasps with any of these three corrupted pols being elected potus.
I’m just having a hard time trying to convince myself to vote for someone who isn’t smart enough to figure out that Algore is working the biggest hoax ever perpetrated upon people who consider themselves as being intelligent. What if one of those Nigeria guys sends McCain one of those bank account email scams while he’s in charge of the U.S. Treasury?
Thank you Jim! Better than Cinnimon Girls rant!
I’ll vote for McCain (for our troops if nothing else), but I damn sure don’t have to like it.

A great many that stand accused of being mccain haters may well decide to also vote for mccain (with a hefty clothespin in place), however, if some who champion mccain here don’t rein in their rhetoric, that number may shrink for that reason alone.
The ongoing interplay here is typical of those who seek to enforce party unity yet are not willing to recompense those they seek to corral to their cause. It is nothing new. What is at stake is, but it also begs the question, what in the heck is the GoP thinking?
Freepers are a fickle lot.. and have been burned before and most will survive this latest conflagration.
BWahahaha!!
I was just going to tell whoever posted this that they forgot to leave a link to the “McCain, you treasonous bastard...” rant, then I realized YOU were the poster.
Great rant. Keep it up.
After GHW Bush, Dole and GW Bush, I’m sorry, McCain is one RINO too far.
As I've posted before, the "moderate republicans" said they didn't need my conservative vote. Ok, they aren't getting it.
So hows come they're whining so much and saying if I don't vote for McCain we'll get The Dark Side?
They said they could win without me so I'm staying home and letting them run things.

Much better thread here... thanks...
