U.S. Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Waco, a superdelegate, is among those to receive campaign contributions from at least one of the current presidential candidates.
Records show that Edwards, whose District 17 stretches from suburbs south of Fort Worth to east of College Station, received $7,500 from Barack Obama in the 2006 or 2008 election cycles or both, according to an analysis by the Capital Eye Web site.
Edwards, who could not be reached for comment Friday, has endorsed Obama.
The superdelegate system was always a massive hole of corruption waiting to happen. Not that that’s ever bothered Democrats.
Big deal. He probably got more from Saddam Hussein.
Sweet, now John won’t have to use his own funds to pay his house’s Tuesday heating bill.
They all love America hating Muslim’s who say they are Christian and spend 20 years in a whitey/Amercan hating church.
“the old fashion way - bought.”
...the democrat way,
Yep, the good ol’ boy you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours still alive and well.
Not that that's going to help much since Ft. Worth (yeehaw!) and A&M (a bigger yeehaw!) is most definitely bright red. I'd love to know what the going rate for Perry is.
That’s a high priced political prostitute, right there...
Hmmm, wonder what would happen if you drag a $100 bill through congress, don't get in the way.
Hehehe - would be like wolves on bacon...
Pathetic, but no surprise.
Are we surprised?
and that’s new?
they are talking about a Rep Chet Edwards...not the breck girl.
Thanks for posting this.
Of course this should not surprise anyone.
The super delegates is great for the super delegates and potentially for those who buy their votes.
This is an old revelation. Incredible as it seems, there is no rule against candidates for the Democrat nomination paying the super delegates for their votes. Some of them have been paid thousands of dollars, and the bidding war will no doubt continue.
As for the snake, Chet Edwards, he prances around his district which includes Fort Hood and Texas A&M, touting his “conservatism” every two years. However, he voted every time with Queen Nancy Pelosi to set a date certain for withdrawing our troops from Iraq. He should be dubbed “Nancy’s Surrender Monkey.”
b. HUSSEIN ~ just spreading some of that lib/dem walking around money!!!!
typical black man!!!
Hildabeast could out buy *anyone* if that was the case.
**Edwards, who endorses Obama, got $7,500 from him**
Not cool at all.
