Showers on Navy vessels take about three minutes, to conserve water. Get in, wet down and shut off the water. Soap up and rinse off and get out. That's a Navy shower.

The showers you're probably used to are called Hollywood showers. A bath was out of the question.

You're a good sport so chuckle at the replies.

Geez Kathy, I’m sorry.

I was responding to another “new posts to you” poster about the 108 degrees for the NASCAR race in Fontana.

No dry heat or wet heat for that matter in Bend, Oregon. (Soon to be re-named “Bent” Oregon after the former President campaigns for his wife here on Monday)

We’ve had nothing but snow since the beginning of Spring which is what we have had since the start of fall.

Saaaay, wasn’t there a group or song called “Canned Heat”?

I work with some mighty kind people...They put on coffee for me when the pot starts walking, even if they don’t drink it..

I don’t understand people that get up and drink cola instead of coffee. I’d gag with a rush of sweet gunk first thing in the morning.
