THE RACE: The presidential race for Democrats nationally
THE NUMBERS
Barack Obama, 49 percent
Hillary Rodham Clinton, 39 percent
___
OF INTEREST:
The two rivals' standings in the Pew Research Center poll have changed little from late February, the latest indication that so far Obama has weathered the controversy over provocative sermons by his longtime pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. While Obama has a mostly favorable image among white Democrats, those with unfavorable views about him are likelier to say equal rights for minorities have gone too far and to oppose interracial dating. Almost one in four white Democrats who view Obama unfavorably also think he is Muslim, when in fact he is Christian. Obama and Clinton both continue to hold slender leads nationally in matchups against the all-but-certain Republican candidate, John McCain.

And morally, ethically, etc. And I still don't trust him.
THE TRUTH ABOUT BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY AND THE TRINITY CHURCH
Pew and NBC polls are useless.
Rasmussen is the gold standard for pollsters.
Gullible enough to select Osama and Hitlery as front-runners.
exactly
How just stupid are these people that they would even consider voting for a man who is clearly racist and anti american
of course the media are not doing their job which just sickens me
for the first time I watched MSNBC and was dumbfounded at just how this black anchor woman was going against clinton and sticking up for obama
then there is the likes of chris matthews, anderson cooper.
Doesn't matter. She's more electable ...at three o'clock in the morning...or something like that. Oh yeah, have to count all the votes too.
I’m not buying any of these polls. The MSM polls are little more than propaganda designed to influence the electorate into voting for their anointed candidate. I remember when most national polls had Reagan & Carter in a dead heat, or Carter slightly ahead, going into the 1980 election.
As I recall, the actual election was not all that close.
Let’s see the internals on this poll, until those are revealed it is useless.
Today’s Rasmussen Numbers:
Looking ahead to the General Election in November, John McCain continues to lead both potential Democratic opponents. McCain leads Barack Obama 51% to 41% and Hillary Clinton 51% to 41% (see recent daily results). McCain is now viewed favorably by 56% of voters nationwide and unfavorably by 41%. Obamas reviews are 46% favorable and 52% unfavorable. For Clinton, those numbers are 44% favorable, 54% unfavorable (see recent daily results).
this is what I mean we all know about Obama now even after his racist remarks ,friends and lies about not hearing anything then surely everyone must have heard about it
surely even the media who have been downplaying his racist views could not hide it all together
so we have people who would vote for him either they agree with him or are just plain stupid
I watched MSNBC earlier today for the first time in ages and they was really spinning the numbers for obama like crazy.
you have all that and still theres more like
the jew comments,
the Italian comment
the terrorist friend he has,
his wifes racist writings
his lies
no record to speak of
his shady dealings with his slumlord pal
it just goes on and on
so could one tell me please as to why anyone would vote for this obama guy unless they agree with his black power, africa all the way , down with America
Sounds like a sizeable number of the white folk over 70 that I know. Keep in mind that the "interracial dating" thing is usually opposed by elderly black folks as well.
If Obama gets elected what will happen to us “typical white folks?”
Funny how Rasmussen results are never reported.
Or they don't pay attention to the details and believe that the news is over sensationalized.
Very few people have much faith in the media, and they are used to the media sensationalizing everything. There are a lot of people who won't put much faith in what they hear about Wright.
They will ignore the facts and the details, and they will vote for the person they like the most, and Obama comes across as very likable.
