Merrill A. McPeak, a former Air Force chief of staff, also compared the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist organizations to what he described as religious radicals in Oregon and claimed "born-again [Christians]" supported the war in Iraq to help Israel.

I take it personally too, and I don’t think it’s over the top. Obama’s sympathies to Israel’s enemies, who are plotting Holocaust II, are well documented. My sympathy is with you. My Mother lost a great amount of her relatives including a brother and her Grandparents in the Holocaust.

However, my mother born in Europe also said " I remember how the people followed Hitler around as though he was the Pied Piper. I fear Obama is a similar character and learn much from the books he read on Marx and Lenin. I am horrified by the company Obama keeps and those who are his close advisers. I believe that if he becomes the President of the U.S.A. that he and his ilk will make it very unpleasant for folks such as us.

Were you planning on voting for Obama? What makes you think he was losing Jewish votes because he’s black? American history should tell you that Jews would be MORE likely to vote for Obama because he’s black. It’s the muslim thing that has most Jews running from him.

No I am not planning on voting for Obama. And living in S. Florida and working with the Jewish community my entire adult life lets me know that most Jews won’t vote for a black person.
The younger generation doesn’t have a problem with Obama’s race but the older generation has different views.
Nothing against Jewish people. It’s just how they are. And it’s their right to be that way.

You know, I've actually read the piece of drivel that is Mein Kampf, and while there's a lot in there about Jews, international bankers, the Treaty of Versailles and Communists, there's remarkably little in there discussing the merits of public smoking bans in bars and restaurants. Maybe you should remember that words have consequences, and comparing relatively trivial political disputes to the crime of the century just seems wrong. Regarding the actual subject of this thread (and not our endless tobacco disputes, which I believe you were trying to reference), I think Obama would be a disastrous president. But just because I think he would be a disaster doesn't mean I think he's in any way reminiscent of Hitler.

I do realize such consequences, which is why I chose my words so carefully. I am sorry you came to the conclusion I made such a comparison, as that was not my intent. I do not and never have equated the 2 issues.

I am in complete agreement with you that MK was drivel and about how disatrous an Obama presidency would be. My reference was not so much to MK, but rather the entire of concept of the "state" control over the individual espoused by the regime, not on any one particular issue.
