Although this is a sorrowful parting, may the LORD strengthen Don and his family to see the Light of eternity that glimmers brightly through the storm clouds of today.

Lord Jesus, we pray for the family of Barbara Robinson in their time of loss. May Your Spirit comfort and strengthen them. As her spirit is committed into Your eternal care, so may all of us commit ourselves to You as if eternity were already upon us. We pray in Jesus’ Name; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Father God,
I pray that you reveal Yourself to Don in this sorrowful time. We know that ‘our ways are not Your ways; our thoughts not Your thoughts’ and so, as things happen in life that we don’t understand or can’t reconcile with an awesome, loving God, we need to know you’re there to carry us through and fill the emptiness that’s left with your love, guidance, wisdom, peace, serenity and hope.
In Jesus’ name we pray.

Prayers up, Jim. It’s hard to find the right things to say in times like this, but don’t forget that you have many, many shoulders to lean on around here.
Sad news, Jim. My prayers are with the family. My wife has had a couple of bouts with cancer. I am thankful she is still with me, but it is always scary that it might come back. I can imagine how your brother must feel.
