Many times I have been threatened with violence, as well as our staff at Move America Forward.

We simply shrug off the danger, and continue with our work to support our troops.

'Skye' at MidnightBlue.com wasn't so lucky yesterday in Philadelphia, Pa.

She was slapped TWICE by so-called 'peace activists'.

I am saddened to report this:

Saturday around 12:10 PM, a member of the Chester County Peace Movement (CCPM) slapped a woman twice ( that would be me) who was videotaping an exchange between the two opposing groups. Police were called and an officer arrived at 12:15 PM and announced to the crowd that he was conducting an investigation.

The CCPM member was pointed out to police and the officer told the man to come forward and the man refused. The guy was totally uncooperative, belligerent and would not go with the officer. When he shoved the officer, the officer's partner took him to the ground to be handcuffed. The guy continued to resist while on the ground and the peace movement folks surrounded the officers, some as close as a foot or so away.

I've prided myself in my professional conduct at this rally and to be struck twice by a 'peace' protester who has been present since the time I began covering this rally is truly disturbing.

Since Skye and I corresponded, here's the second, more disturbing report where the 'Peace Activists' blatantly lie about what happened.

I've gotten hold of a copy of the after action report from the peace protesters. Their leader, Karen Porter, condones the attack and sends a message that it is okay to hit us.

Sorry for the scrawled email, I am near tears.

Here is the the text for your perusal.

Some of you were at our vigil today, some weren't. Very briefly, here's
what happened (and we have it all on film by several people):

One of our vigilers had a verbal conflict with a counterprotestor who has
for six months constantly harassed many of us (including me). We ended that,
but it started again; and we called the police. The police came and had a 
conflict with the peace vigiler who had the original conflict. The police arrested
him, and another one of our folks, attempting to support the first vigiler,
got involved in a conflict with the police - and the police thereupon
arrested him. Several of us went to the WC Police Headquarters. Both vigilers were released after about 45 minutes.

I will not go into more detail for legal reasons. Plus, I was so busy  trying
to divert the crowd that I didn't see it all. Luckily, a lawyer  was at our
peace vigil, went to the police station with them, and has offered to
represent them both. The entire affair is now in the hands of lawyers.

I did what any red-blooded peace protestor would do after this experience - drove into Philly to see a movie (taking a break from registering voters!). And I feel fine.

For six months now, the counterprotestors have tried incessantly to intimidate, provoke, harass - to try to cause violence in any way possible.

I have never in my life known such a hate-filled, hate-ful, obnoxious, vicious group of people - ever. I was right from the beginning about this group - so, please, let's get real:
* They care nothing about us as human beings - we are objects, "sheep" to them. They also think we're absolutely stupid, as conveyed by some of the very offensive names they call us.
* They care nothing about rights of any kind, constitutional or otherwise.
* They want nothing more than violent confrontation. I lost it the other night when I came to the candlelight 5th Anniversary vigil, the counterprotestors were there, I told them it wasn't our vigil but that of some local ministers - only to be told, very loudly and rudely: "YOU ALWAYS HIDE BEHIND RELIGION, KAREN PORTER."
Well, I lost it in my own way then.

I was enraged. Angry. Bent out of shape. Shaking with rage.

WE ALL LOSE IT - and an apology's fine, but this vigiler has nothing to apologize for to any of us.

He happens to be a veteran who served his country in Vietnam - and we love and honor him. He is one of the kindest, most wonderful people you can ever know - he not only served his country in war but also in peace in public service.

Now, if you feel uncomfortable coming to these vigils after today (that's what they want you to feel - it's their plan), simply don't.

I can't promise you that they will ever behave themselves.

My skin got very thick. ... We know what they are, what they are capable of. And that's just what we have to live with.

But guess what: They have to live with us, too.

Move America Forward is going to press forward with a demand to the United States Marshall Service, Homeland Security, and the U.S. Justice Department to start ARRESTING AND PROSECUTING THESE PEOPLE!

West Chester Rally 03/22/2008

A beautiful day for a rally that turned ugly when a peace protester crossed the line from ugly remarks to violence.

Snarky retorts, name calling and mis characterizations by the CCPM are common place events in my 7 month documentary of this rally. Yesterday crossed the line, when I was struck twice by a peace protester. I can deal with all the above, but will NOT tolerate any form of violence against my person. I am consulting legal advice on this matter.

I guess this is a sign that I should not go to any event supporting our troops. You people have some amazing self control there would have been no way to stop me from responding with force, plain and simple a man does not lay a hand on a woman. I hope you all move forward with forcing charges on this piece of subhuman filth.

At a rally in Berkeley last month, a 6' guy tried to wrestle a microphone from Melanie Morgan and in a few seconds he was on the ground with a mouth full of dirt with a Gold Star Father Vet on top of him.

Their Religion IS Peace

Tonight, seven fellow sheepdogs stood watch as the flock ‘protested’ our five year anniversary in Iraq. We withstood the rain and the usual nonsensical slurs from the not-so-peaceful gathering, but one stood out.

We showed up first. Karen Porter was so livid that Rich would counter-protest a ‘religious’ gathering that she told him to “go to hell”. (Not so peacefully, I might add.)

So, it was a religious gathering?

Is today a religious holiday that I didn’t know about? If it really was a religious gathering, why wasn’t it at a church? I doubt that their congregation meets on the courthouse steps every Wednesday. Then again, this is their religion. They respect God as little as they do our troops to say that their infantile candlelit vigil was anything other than political whinging.

I think his last word is supposed to be "whining." Hmmm, I spell like that sometimes.

The Left has ALWAYS been about VIOLENCE, especially to women. In the anti-war movement during the Vietnam War, all these idiot male “pacifists,” could talk about was, you guessed it, violence. As young people do, they constantly talked about sex.... but not in a normal way. These guys always talked about rape. Maybe because they weren't getting any, as NONE of the girls in the group would have them. Well, duh. Finally one of the guys DID rape one of the girls, and the other guys, instead of beating him up, CHEERED. The girls were told to, and I quote, “shut up about it.” Needless to say most of the girls, and some of the guys left the “movement.” About 9 or 10 years later, I was working for Reagan, and went to the first campaign staff meeting. Lo and behold, sitting around the table were my old anti-war chums. I said, “you too.” That sick incident was a wake-up call, and directed most of us to the Republicans. NEVER did I hear conservative guys talk about violence or rape.

As a young man of 18 I was stationed at Lakenheath AFB Lakenheath England during the Vietnam War. Several times a year the America Haters throughout Europe would gather and surround the base as “peace protesters” Of course they held no signs condemming the Communist, the VC or the North. Only derided America and the people of South Vietnam. But then half the groups that gathered were Communist or Terrorist oriented.
I clearly remember feeling the hate and evil that flowed from these people and began to truly understand the danger these people presented to civilization.
It saddens me to see that in 40 years nothing has changed.
