I think his last word is supposed to be "whining." Hmmm, I spell like that sometimes

No, you were right the first time. “Whinging” is how we say the word DownUnder. Often appended by the word “Pom”. Denotes someone who is shrill and constant and unreasonable and inconsolable with baseless complaints.

It's a British way of saying/spelling 'whining' also.
