This priest makes me appreciate what a good show Jeremiah puts on. From an entertainment point of view Jeremiah is terrifically talented.

This guy, Fr. Michael Pfleger, has been running a renigade parish for 20 years now. About 3 years ago the Cardinal told him that he was going to be transferred to a different assignment, but Fr. Pfleger said he wouldn’t go and that he would leave the church and take the parish with him if the Cardinal tried to follow through.

The Cardinal went back to his office with his tail between his legs and hasn’t brought up the subject since to my knowledge.

Maybe this Uh-Oh Oreo wannabe would like to demonstrate his true calling to Christ by spending a year in Uganda or Somalia caring for the truly poor and oppressed ...

Nahhhhh ... what was I thinking?

I believe he is also the same Priest who threatened to “snuff” out a gun dealer and Legislator's who supported gun rights. He is a real loose cannon irrespective of Race.

Yikes! “Since when is dissent unpatriotic?” Saying God Damn America is by any objective standard, unpatriotic. Just like, father, your little tirade is unchristian.

I wonder if this is his preaching style in his parish church. Or was this an affectation he put on for this audience. Amazing if the former, patronizing if the latter. And can a Catholic priest have in common with Faracon?

ping

Sounds like it's time to contact the bishop of this diocese
This priest also endorsed Obama on Obama’s website.

Kind of hard to get others including Catholics to vote against pro-abortion politicians while Catholic priests are endorsing them!!!

Ping for the media’s favorite “Catholic” priest in Chicago. Why this guy hasn’t been excommunicated yet is beyond me. Cardinal George ought thrown him out of town ASAP and find a CONSERVATIVE black priest to take over at St. Sabina.

I went to show the video to my mom, only to discover it’s now been “removed due to terms of use violation”. I wonder what “terms of use” it violated.

What can I say? I've met Pfleger personally on several occasions. I don't endorse him. But, I've seen first hand what he's done in what was nothing but a heroin infested ghetto. He's created an island of prosperity and hope. How can I be against that?

All I can say, is that it strikes me similar to Brando's character in Apocalypse Now. That is to say that he has acclimated to the environment and prospered very well.

Perhaps a bit too well.
