The Next Black President Won't Be A Democrat
Outside The Wire ^ | Bob Parks

Posted on 03/21/2008 8:07:47 AM PDT by bocopar

While drinking my morning coffee, I watched an editorial from the president and general manager of our local ABC affiliate. He seemed to be genuinely hurt by the turn the presidential primaries have taken.

He concluded,

“And the most toxic political ism of all, racism, has sparked a firestorm touching all voters --- black, white, male, female, young and old.

“This week Senator Obama felt he had to address the elephant in the room. Even at the highest levels -- whether it is a prominent minister or a former vice-presidential candidate --when it comes to the issue of race, Americans harbor beliefs and private hurts that erupted in public.

“Let open and constructive debate continue on a festering problem plaguing America -- it's a discussion long overdue.” – Bill Fine, WCVB

I believe America IS ready for the next female or Black president. However, should that happen, that person will not be a Democrat, as that party has yet to acknowledge it’s racist and sexist past, and we all know what happens to those who don’t learn from the sins of their past.

Think about it.

It’s the liberal theology that deems it necessary to segregate students. Almost every high school and college has a Black Student Union. That thinking has also spawned feminist groups, Latino groups, gay groups, and whatever other “group” that they deem worthy of additional recognition.

It’s liberal thinking that has created a hypersensitive atmosphere in the workplace. It’s progressive thinking that’s dictates that some people need a special advantage to compete with the mainstream. It’s their policies that make it so people have to watch what they say (depending on whom they are talking about) in order not to offend.

Correct because Democrats alienate so many people with their hate rhetoric.
They are not uniters by nature, they are dividers and they do not offer vision ...

They are absolutely hateful power mongers

While we're at it let's have a long, open discussion about sebaceous cysts and hemmorhoids. Liberals love to rub themselves and everybody's else's nose in poop, while doing so for a stiff fee.

Well, since you mentioned it, a local (Chicago) ostensibly Christian university had a get together at the end of February. They wanted to fete the month’s theme (Black History Month) while being open to socializing with all students, regardless of race.

They settled on a night of games, mostly playing card games and then printed posters to advertise. The fliers, under a banner of “BSU”, listed the card games they planned to play.

Can you guess the name of the first card game listed?

Another great article! Thanks for writing, posting.

The smallest minority on planet Earth is the individual. Anti-individual collectives are just that.

I’d prefer J.C. Watts or Michael Steele, myself.

My concern is that if Barack Obama does win, that he will ruin it for any other Black American, Democrat or Republican to run for POTUS. He and Hillary are running as “novelty” candidates by extensuating the “historicness” of theirs.

I agree with Mr. Parks. I have long said that this country is ready for a black president--in fact, they would love to have one, just to expunge guilt and shut up all the whiners who say that America is racist. But I also holdand that the first black president will be a moderate or conservative. I do not think America is ready for the whole black liberal agenda and all the black racists who will come in the train of a black liberal president.

I think that if Colin Powell casually mentioned he'd like to be president, he would be carried to the White House on the shoulders of the voters--no need for an election. Americans in general (not me, but a lot of Americans) want a whine-free black leader like him.

Clearly, identity politics has turned around and bitten the Leftist right on their self-righteous, know-it-all noses.

I’m not against a black or a female being president, but neither the democrats nor the republicans have offered up a viable black or female candidate that is qualified to be president.

I don’t know. I would have been for it several years ago, but the State Department has rubbed off on her a bit too much, it seems.
