McCain Fundraising Still Lagging Badly

Well, the February numbers are out for the Presidential sweepstakes. And the numbers for McCain are downright depressing compared to either of his potential Democrat rivals. (Source)
February 2008
McCain: $11 million
Clinton: $34.5 million
Obama: $55.4 million
And here are the totals through the end of February:
Total
McCain: $66.4 million
Clinton: $155.6 million
Obama: $197.3 million
And finally:
Cash-on-hand minus Campaign Debt
McCain: $3.7 million
Clinton: $24.5 million
Obama: $38.2 million
So both Democrats continue to easily outpace McCain in fundraising and cash-on-hand even though McCain is now free to focus on raising money while the Democrats are still fighting a bruising campaign battle. It seems that McCain/Feingold has succeeded in getting the money out of at least one presidential campaign. The campaigns of the Democrats, to this point, appear unaffected.

His behavior is right out of the psychology textbook. Much like the hostages in Stockholm and captives like Patty Hearst. McCain has more empathy for the enemy than he does his own side.

"There are currently 3 liberal democrats in the running, none of whom will get a penny from me either. Two of them are honest about their party affiliation. One is not."
A pity that all 3 of them can't lose.

This is hardly surprising. The RNC manipulated the process so one of the most unpopular politicians in the Republican party won the nomination.
Now let them put up their own damn money if they want to get back into power.

For those of you who can't stomach the thought of giving to McCain just look at it as a donation in support of our troops and against the MSM.
Think how demoralizing it would be to the members of the military and their families, who have sacrificed so much, to have Obama or Hillary as their CIC. Think how happy the socialists around the world and in our media would be. Do you want to see them celebrating in November? One of my favorite TV watching moments of my life was watching the shock and disappointment on the faces of the media elite when President Bush won in 2004.

Just imagine how low McCAin would be polling with conservatives if 911 and the WOT hadn’t happened.

Millions of Repubes and even some Conservatives will vote for him, but lets face it of all elected Republicans he is hated most. They may show up to vote AGAINST Barry or Das Beast, but they aren’t going to work for the POS nor send him money.

“McCain gets zero support.”
???
This thread is on the sidebar and a few threads below:

“The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows John McCains lead growing against both potential Democratic opponents. McCain currently leads Barack Obama 49% to 42% and Hillary Clinton 51% to 41% margin (see recent daily results). African-American support for Clinton has collapsed, falling to 55% in the general election match-up. Obama, on the other hand, earns solid support from African-American voters but attracts only 36% of white voters in a match-up with McCain. “

McCain would have been a single digit loser for the nomination if he hadnt been completely right about the Surge in Iraq.
It’s the security issue.

That's where McCain is going to suffer unless he puts an honest-to-goodness conservatve on the ballot with him. The broken-glass, activist conservatives will not work for him otherwise.

With a good, solid conservative on the ticket, many conservatives would work for it. Myself included.

I receive calls from the RNC and their underlings all the times and I tell them the truth.
Let those who voted for and will vote for McCain, support him. I cannot!

Unfortunately, I have no verifiable proof, only statements I have heard from several friends and individuals who have traditionally supported Republicans across the board. Several have said that they will not give to the RNC, only to specific candidates who are conservative. I agree completely with your Club idea.

McCain has already stated that his VP pick will hold McCain's own views, so I would put little faith in the supposition of a real Conservative VP. Maybe a Thompson (who is also a moderate), but probably a Crist or Gramnesty.
I will further predict that a Conservative candidate will be in the race as a 3rd party or independent. If (when) that happens, considering McCain's "mile wide, but an inch deep" support, and his less than stellar funds availability, I can easily suppose that his candidacy will founder, as it certainly should.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows John McCains lead growing against both potential Democratic opponents. Good, than McCain doesn't need money or volunteer time from conservatives.

Funny you should post this--I just got a donation request from Rick Santorum. Since McVain aimed a shot at RS recently, I was thinking of sending him a donation. Do you know what Santorum is doing--is he getting ready to run for another office?
I guess this was McVain's way of saying that Rick can't expect any appts if Juan actually wins.
I read on another thread that Barr is thinking of running Libertarian.
