That'll smart. Here's a map; for reference, that's India & Pakistan at the lower left, the shaker is near Kashmir in the Himalayas.

This has nothing to do with the full moon.

230 km (140 miles) SE of Hotan, Xinjiang, China China's medium range rocket test site is near the city of Hotan.

Is it a populated area? (is that a dumb question?)
To: Lijahsbubbe
I guess there was a quake of about 6.0 or 6.2 a few years ago that killed some 200 people. A 7.2 is about 32 x’s the 6.0. And this is near the Paki and Afgan border! May be Osama finally bit the dust!

May be Osama finally bit the dust! Wouldn't it be nice if a quake could selectively swallow up terrorists?

Hotan seems to be a pretty big city with several dams with large reservoirs in the mountains to the south. Doesn't seen to be much outside of the cities — bleak desert. It is worth a look in Google Earth as it is at the northern edge of the Tibetan Plateau. Hotan has a 4500 ft elevation and within a few miles to the south you are climbing up to 10,000 feet with 20,000 + just south of that.

When I saw the location, I was about to type “Not a big shock”...
But then I realized that might be misunderstood, in the context :-)

Nor the Dali Lama’s concern over Chinese troop movements.

This has nothing to do with the full moon.Thank you. It has nothing to do with the Book of Revelation either.

I believe that to be the area where most of China’s Muslims live....
Allah must be pissed.
He’s really hammering them lately.

I did the Google Earth thing. Very interesting, can’t say that I can read it well though!
To: Lijahsbubbe
I have’t figured out the Chinese Fonts myself, not that I could read it anyhow. LOL I always get sidetracked looking at “stuff”. Now I am trying to figure out an erosion pattern near the village of Ch’ia Ha 36d 28’ N 80d 40’ E. Totally weird — and I used to be a miner! All I can think of is some hydraulic mining but that doesn't really fit.

I felt a jolt at around that time in the San Francisco Bay Area at around that time. I felt another one in the 6:30-6:45PM timeframe as well. The USGS shows a 3.0 quake in Dublin, CA at 6:37PM.
Related?
