VIDEO: Local (Everett) Iraqis Support War, Hope For Iraq
Iraqis living in Everett see the five-year anniversary of the war as a time to celebrate the future of their country.

EXTENDED INTERVIEW: Local Iraqi man Ali Al-Faham explains support
At my university I listened to a lecture by Tahir al-Bakaa, the former Iraqi Minister of Higher Education. He originally was a professor at Mustansiriya University, but Saddam hand-selected him to be the Minister of Ed., so he had to quit his job and join the Ba’ath party.
Anyway, he talked about the situation in Iraq and when someone asked him if it was really as good as we’ve heard, he immediately said yes. He praised Petraeus for working with the tribes in Anbar and thinks we’ve made lots of military progress since the invasion. He also said “Thinking of withdrawal is thinking of defeat. It should be done step by step.” That’s what so many libloons fail to realize.
Wow. Thanks for posting this.
EXCELLENT videos! Those Iraqis nailed it. You’ll never see them interviewed by the MSM of course....
Thank you for this video. Isn’t it something what that man said too. Too bad the left can’t think the same way and instead they do violent things against our Recruiting Stations and protest our soldiers.
Keep Iraq Free!
Here's another insightful well-informed Iraqi living in America. Is there a transcript or video of the lecture from Tahir al-Bakaa?
It would be so beneficial for MSM to locate and interview Iraqi's who know a thing or three about the benefits of the Iraq War to the citizens of Iraq.
All three national news networks should have these two video links (if they open their email). The ball is in their court. It may help to get MSM to cover this if more people request coverage on the benefits of the Iraq War.
what news was that?
Sounds like a t-shirt screenprint...
And of course, the people who claim to speak for the Iraqi people will ignore this.
Still, good news nonetheless.
The cure for ignorance is education...educate yourself by watching the video.
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!
I think the lecture was recorded on videotape but as of now it’s somewhere in the university and unfortunately I don’t really know how to get access to it...
I suppose the director of the Middle East studies center would know, since she was there at the lecture. Supposedly al-Bakaa is supposed to be coming back in a few years as well, if plans don’t change. It’ll be interesting to see what the situation will be like then and what he’ll have to say about it.
Thanks for the ping. Great videos...they came off a little choppy, but I was able to get the gist.
Spread the news? They all know about these things in my neck of the woods. ;-)
and you’re surprised???? LOL ain’t the Blame Stream Media just SCUM.
Thanks for your reply. I was hopeful there would be something available on the internet that could also be sent to the news networks.
It’ll probably take several requests for media to cover the positive outcomes, but these two videos are a starting point. They’re too consumed with the drama of Election 2008.
I’ve sent the videos to my Congressman (D-INO) and Senators (both R).
