With all that is going on in America right now; this election, the ecnomy, and now this, does anyone else think that we are on the verge of something disasterous in America? Short of it, I feel something VERY bad is on the horizon!

I used to think there was something disastrous on the horizon. Now i think there is something disastrous right in front of us. Liberal policies have already sown the seed of our destruction. Socialism has led to the downfall of any and every nation it has touched. We are no different.
If we can’t defend our recruiting offices, what can we really defend. Pitiful.

I don’t know about you, but I’m quite prepared as are many others.

With the three candidates still left and the potential damage any of the them could do, I would term the outlook for the next four years as grim, and the four after that as futile.
As bad as I have viewed Bush to be, I had no idea he would lead us with a nation so addled that it would be content to loft the potential leaders it has.

That seems to be the perception that is being orchestrated. I think we need to keep things in perspective.
I remember when my dad, a cop, came home to get his personal shotgun during the riots in '68. The nation was on the verge of violent revolution. Cops were being murdered by car-bombs. Various terrorist groups were violently active in the U.S.
I don't think the current situation comes close to comparing to '68 - though there are certainly those who'd like us to think Armageddon is on the horizon.
Fear sells. Don't buy it.
This is still America and we'll figure it out. That's what Americans do. Can Do.

After seeing the videos of a black preacher, and hearing some of the callers to Rush, We may have a race war on our hands. Plus, seeing on another thread the Mexican flags with 'Fear Me' around Houston, it may be both minorities against whites, or against each other.
Wouldn't the jihadists love for someone else to do what they have not been able to do?

Good question. That’s why I’m voting McCain: because he’s most likely to stay the course. I prefer to be ALIVE to complain about the economy.

Any time people attack the very foundations upon which this country was founded, which is evident because of the attacks upon our very source of defense, then yes very bad times are on the horizon.

Look at Europe, specifically England. We are socially on the same track but about ten years behind. Our youth are, for the most part, uneducated, self indulgent, sheltered, headonistic, narcissists. Kinda like their parents but worse.
