DC Recruiting Center Under Attack: Rocks and Paint Bombs: Cops Under Orders to do Nothing

Just got a call from Kristinn on-scene.

This is the SECOND round of attacks that the station and Freepers have withstood today.

Cops are clearing the street of cars so the violent radicals can march down the street to the recruiting center unencumbered.

Crowds have been throwing rocks, paint bombs in GLASS bottles, water bottles, and anything esle they can throw.

MPDC Chief Cathy Lanier was there before the attacks, ORDERING HER OFFICERS to DO NOTHING if the station was attacked.

No arrests are being made.

Kristinn is asking any Freepers and Friends in the area to come down and stand with the Freepers there now.

They are safe. The cops got hit with the brunt of the attack, and they were under STRICT ORDERS TO DO NOTHING, by order of the sharp-dressing new police chief, Cathy Lanier, and the DC City Council.

Maybe the rank and file officers should consider a sick-out or a no-confidence vote in protest of the higher-ups endangering not only their lives, but the lives and property of DC residents and workers.

I can just imagine what my father, a DC native, would say, "F*** the police chief and council! If they won't let the cops do what needs to be done, then let the whole F***ing city burn to the ground. It'd be a big damned improvement on what we have now."

The more I thik about this, the more angry I am. The chief and the city council owe a huge apology to the police officers; and they need to untie their hands when they deal with the rioters.

What if that red paint had been acid?
