I thank all my dead Irish, Scots, Welsh and Danish ancestors for whatever hardships they faced when they came [or were -forced- to come] here.
Their sorrows granted me the gift of being born in the greatest country in the world.
I have no desire to “return” to any of the mythological Utopias whence they came.
Regardless of what “blood” flows in my veins, I am, first and foremost, ~American~ and damn grateful for it.
