The thunderous applause was still ringing in his ears when the state's new governor, David Paterson, told the Daily News that he and his wife had extramarital affairs.
In a stunning revelation, both Paterson, 53, and his wife, Michelle, 46, acknowledged in a joint interview they each had intimate relationships with others during a rocky period in their marriage several years ago.
In the course of several interviews in the past few days, Paterson said he maintained a relationship for two or three years with "a woman other than my wife," beginning in 1999.

the Brits were right, when Clinton was let off.
"America Makes Peace with Adultery. Again."
Thanks for making it mainstream, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton.
You're a disgrace. You are absolutely right! We have so come to accept sin in our land that we have LOST our moral compass!!!

it gets interesting. It's possible that Paterson may have used "state" or "campaign" money to pay for a hotel stay in 2001 (from the NY Daily News article):
Records show that in September 2001, then-Sen. Paterson's campaign spent $456.46 for two nights at what was then called the Quality Hotel at 215 W. 94th St. One check was dated Sept. 10 the day before the 9/11 attacks and the other Sept. 24. Both are listed as "office" expenses.

If there’s one thing you can find anywhere in the country—irrespective of geography—it’s adultery.

If they were legally separated then it is not adultery in the eyes of the law, only the Lord.

“....Not too sure if its adultery if his wife knew about it...”
who knows has nothing to do with it. If he had intercourse with a woman while still married to another woman it is Adultery, with a capital “A.”
And don't try to soften it with other words. Adultery is Adultery and one who engages in it is an Adulterer. That should now be part of his description whenever his name appears.(ditto - the Adulterous wife)
