Military families warned of weekend war protest

TACOMA, Wash. – Local military families are being advised to avoid the Tacoma Mall March 15 as local groups plan to protest the Iraq War.

The group "World Can't Wait" is organizing protests at a recruiting station near the mall to mark the fifth anniversary of the war.

But warnings to stay away have been going out to military families for days now - including one from Fort Lewis seeking to prevent a clash between protestors and military families.

Maggie Loveless, a spokesperson for the World Can't Wait, says this is going to be a big, non violent protest designed to shut the recruiting center down.

"Military recruiters are indoctrinating people They're luring young people in. College students, high school students. In particular poor and minority students," she said. "Into their military to commit war crimes."

If you want to break this up, have a fire hose loaded with Lifebouy soap and the riot police armed with scrub brushes.

The Pittsburgh PD are a bunch a tough hombres. They dont take crap from no one, but when you call them for something stupid like a car parked in your driveway, they show up quickly as possible and will kindly tow the offending auto away.

"Military recruiters are indoctrinating people...   ...In particular poor and minority students,"

Providing much to many with the only way out of poverty and the ghetto they will ever have. We must keep them on the socialist plantation if we are ever to control them and force them to kowtow to the party line.

Well, that was the unspoken thought behind the quote isn't it?

“There’s a difference between “slinking away” and behaving in a prudent manner.”

True. But you dont win any kind of war w/o fighting. And we are losing.

I am not saying we go with violence in mind. But we at least gotta start showing up.

I just returned.
What a pathetic turnout the protesters had. They at best had 50 people, almost all college age punks, probably from Evergreen State Col. The Support the troops side had at least 3 times their number, including about 25-30 of the coolest bikers I ever saw.

The mall was business as usual, full of shoppers stimulating the economy with their hard earned dollars. If the protesters goal was to interrupt commerce, they failed miserably. And for the military being ordered to stay away? No Way! There were many many young men walking around with military haircuts, many of who walked over and thanked us for what we were doing. Many more of their families honked as they drove by our line. And the Police did a fantastic job keeping the ant-war goons confined to a small area near the recruiting station, making sure they could not block access.

Lets see how the news covers this tonight.

I would also like to point out that their aim of blocking the recruiting offices fell completely flat. We controlled the entrances to the individual offices, all they managed to block was the entrance to an insurance company that shares the building.

News coverage was, as usual, pathetic. They went out of their way to minimize shots of the crowd we put out.

You can't see the moonbats from the mall, because we have them completely blocked from view.

We drew a line...

A ton of bikers showed up! Way to go, guys and gals!
