Very informative but the misdirection by mainstream media has already been planted in the average Jane or John Doe reader. While the WH continuously supports its actions, the word is not getting through. And the average American is tired of hearing about the war on terrorism. They want lower gas prices, a chance to buy or keep their home, a job, etc. The American economy is the pits is what the average American is hearing and they’re angry.

Another amazing piece by the irreplaceable Stephen Hayes. Extremely compelling. The best summary of evidence linking Saddam to Islamist terrorist groups I've read. This is the proverbial mountain of evidence.

Saddam was clearly not the peripheral figure in the Jihadist war that the media has painted. Saddam's Iraq is looking more and more like the queen alien from Aliens in the heart of the hive pumping out one monster after another.

This should be required reading for every denier from the Left to the Ron Paul Buchanan Right.

The host of the most listened-to overnight radio show, George Norry, delighted in reporting that the DoD report (a DoD report!) concluded that there was no connection between Iraq and Al Qaeda -- thus proving that Bush "lied." Something that Mr. Norry gets off on nightly, several times.

The early leaks that prompted Norry's delight stated that there was no "direct operational link" between Iraq and al Qaeda. Saddam and OBL did not literally sleep together. That's all it took. Millions of mostly apolitical folks heard the elation in Norry's voice.

To his credit, though with some degree of reticence, Mr. Norry on another night rushed through a news item stating simply that two Harvard University economists found that insurgent groups are responsive to "antiresolve" statements in the media. (That means of course that the enemy gets encouragement from the likes of Mr. Norry, right Mr. Norry?)

So what was the source of the latest BDS sufferers' delight?

All it took was a leak to a gullible reporter, one misleading line in the study's executive summary, a boneheaded Pentagon press office, an incompetent White House, and widespread journalistic negligence.

On Monday, March 10, 2008, Warren P. Strobel, a reporter from the McClatchy News Service first reported that the new Pentagon study was coming. "An exhaustive review of more than 600,000 Iraqi documents that were captured after the 2003 U.S. invasion has found no evidence that Saddam Hussein's regime had any operational links with Osama bin Laden's al Qaida terrorist network." McClatchy is a newspaper chain that serves many of America's largest cities.

May the future bring interesting times for McClatchy newspapers.. oh wait! it already has. Layoffs a comin' by the droves.

Maybe some day they will investigate the White House documents to understand why all the reticence about defending their position against the lies of the media.

This story, and the pre-release leaker’s attempt at a pre-emptive cover up, are both HUGE stories. We MUST hammer this because the MSM has been caught red-handed and they desperately want to “move on.”

And we know we will get no help from the Bush administration or the Pentagon.

Great stuff!

The screaming liberal monkeys will keep denying the truth.
You read the report and the facts are there.

But I’m a little troubled with Abul Rahman Yasin. Cheney said Saddam’s Regime was involved with the WTC93 Bombing because Yasin fled to Iraq. ABC reporter said he was freely living in Iraq with his father but later he was arrested by the Regime.

According to the new report; Saddam did not trust Yasin for some reason. Saddam believed the bombing was done by the Americans or the Zionist to place the blame on Saddam. He never handed over Yasin to the Americans because that would make him look bad in the Arab World for being a wuss.

But Saddam had another reason to keep Yasin under “Lock and Key”. Saddam used Yasin as barter bait. He wanted the US to Lift the Sanctions in exchange of Yasin. US refused to lift the Sanctions. So is Cheney correct implicating Saddam to WTC93 bombing? Saddam did have a history dealing with terrorist organizations.

People can be arrested and put into prison....some are placed in house arrest which is not doing really hard time at all and could freely roam the neighborhood as long you let the authorties know.

Yasin is still a wanted man by the FBI. And he not in Iraq when we toppled Saddam in 2003.

Where is Abdul Rahman Yasin?

In the new report it mentions Saddam’s Martyrs/Saboteurs using only Duracell batteries when denotating their bombs.

Should Duracell market that fact in their commericals?

"The national security reporters in its Washington bureau have earned a reputation as reliable outlets for anti-Bush administration spin on intelligence. Strobel quoted a "U.S. official familiar with the report" who told him that the search of Iraqi documents yielded no evidence of a "direct operational link" between Iraq and al Qaeda. Strobel used the rest of the article to attempt to demonstrate that this undermined the Bush administration's prewar claims with regard to Iraq and terrorism"

Yes...they suck...BIG time.

Thank you for the ping, ikez.
