Yesterday I heard her say that she was NOT a part of Hillary's campaign, and that all she had done was to have one fund raiser for her. She said since she didn't work for the campaign that she could not be fired or step down. Why would she change her story over night unless Hillary said for the 'good of the party' she must resign so it looks like Hillary was tough and wouldn't put up with smears or dirty politics? Something smells here! Liberals are sooo evil!!

If I should suddenly come into money (I sorta hoping for a payout from rotten brother) I will happpily donate a TON to Hillary so I can be important enough to make an un-PC comment like this. Hillary’s people do it, blacks get upset, Obama responds... Obama is making it worse by critiqueing these things. He is SO stupid. What he is doing is making the story last longer, and increasing the chances of greater division. What an idjt.

The thought of an Obama Presidency becomes scarier. The guy will pretty much have carte blanche to do whatever he wants without anyone being able to say a thing.

This is unbelievable.
Obama as Dem candidate and/or POTUS is a nightmare for this reason alone. NO ONE will be allowed to critisize him without being called a racist.

She said basically the same thing about Jesse Jackson in 1988. This is from Politico.com:
"If Jesse Jackson were not black, he wouldn't be in the race," she said.
Really. The cite is an April 15, 1988 Washington Post story (byline: Howard Kurtz), available only on Nexis.
Here's the full context:
Placid of demeanor but pointed in his rhetoric, Jackson struck out repeatedly today against those who suggest his race has been an asset in the campaign. President Reagan suggested Tuesday that people don't ask Jackson tough questions because of his race. And former representative Geraldine A. Ferraro (D-N.Y.) said Wednesday that because of his "radical" views, "if Jesse Jackson were not black, he wouldn't be in the race."
Asked about this at a campaign stop in Buffalo, Jackson at first seemed ready to pounce fiercely on his critics. But then he stopped, took a breath, and said quietly, "Millions of Americans have a point of view different from" Ferraro's.
Discussing the same point in Washington, Jackson said, "We campaigned across the South . . . without a single catcall or boo. It was not until we got North to New York that we began to hear this from Koch, President Reagan and then Mrs. Ferraro . . . . Some people are making hysteria while I'm making history."

I believe that it was the Mondale-Ferraro campaign in 1984 that was responsible for me to actually begin to start taking politics quite seriously.
By the time Dukakis ran 4 year later, I had fully repented of all my youthful political transgressions ( i.e. voting for Carter, and worse.)
I suppose that I owe that hack something.
Thanks Geraldine.
