On Wednesday, March 19, POG will be holding a torch-lit march to a modern day castle of abominationsour local military recruiting station. If the station remains open, we intend to evict it and everything inside of it, occupy the location, and transform it into something useful for the community. We'll also be bringing a movable cage in which to confine military recruiters until they no longer pose a danger to our friends and neighbors. Of course, the station may be closed and recruiters may flee or hide behind the police apparatus that enables the war to continue. That is often the case, and we've seen in the past the overwhelming resources the state directs against these anniversary events because of their importance as a symbol of dissent. We believe in acting effectively, in confronting the war, at times and places of our choosing. When the state brings the resources necessary to suppress direct action against the war, it makes sense to hold a symbolic protest, and we still consider that a success, as it exposes the reality that it is ultimately on the local level that our countries war policy will be decided.

Ok, I couldn’t take it anymore. I printed their web page and ran to our local recruiting office. Talked to the Sarge and as I left he was on the phone to the public affairs officer. Now let’s hope the SHTF!!!!

Anarchist punks. I’d pay money to see them try to cage a Marine.
Unbelievable. What a diverse nation we live in. Where I live nobody would dream of such nonsense. If it occurred, violence would be addressed with much greater violence and nobody would dream of it again for a long time. In my opinion that would be appropriate.

Hello again...
I wanted to let you know that I have posted something over on my blog about this. Seeing as I have mentioned the three of you in my posting I thought it would be a nice idea to let you know. :)
Here is a direct link to my entry:

Be sure to note the irony of their "plan of action" as compared to their mission statement. LOL

How disgusting. These yobs deserve any punishment they get.
God bless all the military at the recruiting station - and elsewhere.

Thanks for the ping.
I hate going into Pittsburgh, but I may have to make an exception for this.

I wonder if members of the American military have the right of self-defense.

Yeahbut...wouldn’t it be a WHOLE lot more fun if the gents in the Recruitment Station simply called in air support to lay down the heavy lead on the street??
Seriously, though...
How much “We’re gonna...” has to be heard before it rises to the level of a threat requiring summary action?
Seems everyone must act with restraint except the traitors themselves.

I wonder if members of the American military have the right of self-defense. Well, yeah. Though I do wonder what hay might be made of the imagery of uniformed military defending themselves righteously against an assault by dirty, peaceful civilians. You know, the same comparisons made when they defend against attacks by "civilians" overseas?
Kneejerk reaction would be screams of "Kent State." I swear, the boldness of the anti-America crowd knows no bounds. No conscience, not even a sense of irony. And the stuff keeps feeding on itself and growing.
Better that LEOs or failing that patriotic civilians and un-uniformed servicemen form a phalanx to prevent the Marines from having to break wispy little hippy necks. They protect us over there, and we should protect them over here. That's where my intuition takes me, anyway.

I’m not advocating violence...but I will say this: If they tried this in my town they would occupy that recruiting center over my dead body. A line has to be drawn here. Hopefully the police will be the ones drawing it, but enough’s enough.
