McCain topper to allies: Stay on message (Talking Points For ALL To Follow)
Politico ^ | March 11, 2008 | Jonathan Martin

After being forced to respond to three separate incidents in recent weeks of conservatives alluding to Barack Obama's middle name, John McCain's campaign manager today sent a memo to top supporters urging them to stick to the campaign's preferred message -- and to avoid taking gratuitous shots at their Democratic rivals.

"We expect that all supporters, surrogates and staff will hold themselves to similarly high standards when they are representing the campaign. To help guide you, please find talking points below."

“McCain has morphed in to a pansy or is senile. Neither of which we need as CiC.”

I disagree. We should allow Barack and Hillery to continue their hair-pulling, eye-poking bed wetting tantrums. On some level, most rational voters will realize the difference between an adult and pandering, pathetic little children.

Obama is trying to stay on point, but Hillery keeps dragging him into the cess pool, which is her natural environment. Their squallering will continue for months. Why should Mc Cain voluntarily enter the food fight?

I’m starting to agree. The day I thought a Libertarian would be more conservative then the Republican on the top of the ticket...this is crazy.

Three blasted liberals without a saving grace among them.

McCain supporters just do not get it, the man is senile and/or has been neutered. He will not stand up for this country and will fail as CiC just as bad as any Dim will.

Mark my words. McCain is not CiC material he will sell us out with inaction in a Arizona non-daylight savings minute whe it comes to fighting our enemies .

The campaign manager and his candidate CHOSE to respond, because they are afraid of taking on the real enemy. Instead, McCain's campaign seems inclined to attack CONSERVATIVES instead of liberals.

That is because conservatives ARE the real enemy, to them.

Open primaries. That’s how.

Now, this needs fixed before 2012.

In the meantime, everyone needs to understand that McCain is not going to do what it takes to defeat either dhimmirat.

Right now, fortunately, we’re seeing a huge rat-fight.

He won’t fight an obvious anti-American candidate for President what makes you think for one minute he will fight offshore enemies? Changing his spots at the age of 72?

“how in the world did we get in this fix?”

Failure on the part of Republican leadership, most notably President Bush, to keep the conservative message and idea set before the AMerican people.

Most Americans lean conservative, they just don’t know it.

“He won’t fight an obvious anti-American candidate for President what makes you think for one minute he will fight offshore enemies? Changing his spots at the age of 72?”

And Hillery or Obama would? First of all, it’s not time to fight them because they’re fighting each other. And secondly, I can find no correlation between political fights and defending this country against its enemies.

So, what are the options? Vote for Hillery or Obama, or Mc Cain, or don’t vote, or throw your vote away by voting for someone who can’t win. The democrats couldn’t do a better job of splintering the Republican base if they planted operatives on FR to accomplish that objective.

A vote for Mc Cain is not the same as voting for a democratic contender. Not even close.

Free political speech is a foreign concept to John McCain.

Maybe he’ll give it amnesty...

I am absolutely no fan of McCain; however, I will hold my nose and vote for him. I think the reason the McCain campaign is trying to keep the insults to a minimum is because there is a very good chance that Hillary will kneecap BOH and get the nomination. Blacks will be incensed. They will have two alternatives: stay at home or vote Republican. If they do the latter, they can realize that they can vote for a Republican and the Earth will still spin on its axis. It’s a play for the black vote.

“First of all, it’s not time to fight them because they’re fighting each other”

It is always the time to fight them. What is he suppose to do for 6 months play golf? If he won’t let his supporters call a man by his given name or question another candidates’ stated position then he has a resolve problem. I’d hate to see that resolve problem manifest itself when Iran is loading warheads.

“The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” - Edmund Burke. So many of our GOP faithful are satisfied with doing nothing and have been for years. If McCain wants to win in November and even have a prayer of drawing real conservatives back in he’d had better go or get out of the bathroom. He needs to start his campaign now and stop thinking we’ll vote for him because we have to. I DO NOT have to vote for anyone and I won;t vote for him unless he shows some sort of a spine and conservative strategy for dealing with amnesty and other issues.

If he waits until late summer to start trying to expose their agenda via the MSM he will be silenced and lose in a 2 to 1 margin.

OK Senor MaCaniac I will try my Boy Scout best not to mention Osama Mamma's middle name.

Lets see was that Husein, Insane, Ursine, Ursine, AllahAkbarHusieene gosh I don't have the foggiest as to what he should be called.

One thing for damn sure he will like most Democrat black politicians play the despicable race card each and every time humanly possible, whether necessary or not.

I find this to be a good reason not to vote for a man who has a Robert Mugabbe, Zimbabwe attitude towards whites and America.

McCain, you better WAKE UP! When the general election begins, the RATS will eat you alive if you continue with the “Gentleman John” pansy attitude. You BETTER go for the throat and draw lotsa blood, and fast. Liberals are your enemy.........oh, wait........I forgot. You are one. We are soooo doomed! No matter who wins. It’s over! The train wreck of amnesty is coming down the tracks!

“We expect that all supporters, surrogates and staff will hold themselves to similarly high standards when they are representing the campaign.”

IIRC, Rep. King was speaking only for himself, not the McCain campaign. Since when does McCain get to tell all Republicans what they may or may not say? We’re electing a President, not a dictator!

I think he is quite delusional. His self righteous sanctimony is pathological. His attempt to control what everyone says is frightening of his contempt for freedom of speech. He must not be the nominee of the GOP. If here are any sane Republicans left, they must step forward and stop this. even if it means seizing control of the convention by peaceful bu irresistible means. The establishment must be made to understand hat if they dare foist this deranged old fool on us, we will not elect him. They need to be slapped upside the head until they get the message.

They're not afraid of taking on the real enemy. The real enemy is the conservative. Anyone who doesn't understand this, by now, hasn't been paying attention.

I'm sure you're not following the little dictator's talking points if you use Marxist to describe anything regarding his honorable, good, Marxist friend. It is McCain who is not in the real world. I have never seen a candidate behave in this manner.
