NEW YORK (CBS) ¯ Gov. Eliot Spitzer was not expected to continue as governor and may resign by Monday evening, sources told CBS 2, after it was reported that he was linked to a prostitution ring.
Reliable sources told CBS 2 Political Reporter Marcia Kramer that Lt. Gov. David Paterson could be sworn in as governor as early as 7 p.m. Monday.

I think we finally have the defining moment for our “age,” the self-immolation of a Governor who has been paying $5500 an hour for hookers. Clearly another person in this whole financial debacle that has no clue what real money is.

What we all really want to see is a photo of Kirsten, however. She is Eliot’s specific prostitute.
I am shocked at how emaciated and otherwise unattractive these prostitutes are in the images. That BS on the Emperor website about their education is nauseating and the supposed cachet about their European travels is a joke. Plus, the club is clearly marketing to politically correct men: the whores all seem to be over 25 in a business where men want 18-22 year olds.
It is like, on Valentines Day of all times when he could have been with his wife, Spitzer chose to sleep with the feminist ideal of whom a man should dream of sleeping with (”Kirsten is a 31 year old accomplished businesswoman with a masters degree”). He must have thought he wasn’t really cheating because the whore was chosen in a politically correct manner to be not too young and not too unsophisticated.
Spitzer would have been thinking “I am not exploiting a naive young woman so it is OK”.
A German club’s site would simply say “Kirsten had her 18th birthday in November” which would be more honest and which would still command only a price of $375 in a society where revelation of the transaction would only be personally embarrassing to a man and then only if he had a wife.
If you are a feminist foot kissing Democrat mangina married to a feminist woman, one would think you would be wasting your time sneaking out on Valentine’s Day to cross state lines to have sex with someone the feminists would approve of.
However, I bet he gets forgiven on that basis. I bet people will be whispering “this Kirsten was 31 and had a masters degree, so it isn’t like he was exploiting someone who was 21 and trying hard to pay for college”.
I am not saying I am for prostitution, but a man who wants to pay for sex really honestly and truly is not going to CARE about her sophistication level nor the degree to which she “needs to pay for college”. Kindness may be a selling point. Sense of humor maybe. Looks definitely. But a prostitute cannot be described as classy or sophisticated in marketing material.
The US, which is the Sex Tourism capital of the world, has prostitutes in the form of strippers at clubs, who may tell people that they don’t go further, but many of whom befriend males they like and then finally end up sleeping with them for $300 a go. In some regions like Washington State and most red states (but few blue states), a group of college coeds often become the strippers. In New York and the Northeast, strippers are mostly lower class.
The exalted prices for the bone thin phony sophisticates at the Emperor’s Club may have something to do with the lack of interest most women in New York have to enter the erotic industry at all.
Eliot Spitzer would have done much better flying to Hamburg, Germany for a weekend. But he was one of those who outwardly bought into the proven lie, repeated incessantly by US feminist organizations hungry for unconstitutional federal funding, that 50,000 women in Germany are sex slaves.
Recall that Bush’s Anti-Sex Tourism Tsar was caught last year with a Costa Rican prostitute in Washington. He resigned quickly and the media forgot about the hypocrisy of it all.
The MSM has stopped talking about McCain’s lobbyist girlfriend. I find that more dangerous to my interests than Spitzer’s one night stand on Valentine’s Day.
This will blow over and Spitzer will serve no jail time while other men, who have no connections, have their lives ruined over similar matters.
In reading about it, it sounds like it wasn’t just one night. Spitzer was a regular customer/pervert.
He is in the crosshairs most definately, hope it pans out.
The answer is yes. Just saw film on Fox. Of course his wife and three daughters were all there, looking demure and innocent. He then kissed all his daughters. I wish one of them would have kicked him in the privates for what he must be putting them through.

Spitzer broke a law..The blogs will keep at it..Right now I am listening to CNN..pundits think he should resign but wonder if he is trying to wait it out...ala Clinton.
He does not have the likability factor that Clinton had with his supporters and his holier than thou personna may come back to bite him.

Something that really bothers me is the price that he paid.
It tells me that other politicians are paying those prices.
If a man is willing to pay $5000 for extra-curricular sex...he values it too highly.
That means, in turn, that he would do more to get it for free.
That means that he is more likely to pass a bad feminist law because a mistress or a cute intern told him to.
That means that the rest of us American men are the ones who get screwed.
Because Spitzer’s general desire for variable sex will never be bred our voted out of the politician class, steps must be made to make sure that the VALUE of the extra-curricular activity is not set too high.
Because $5000 is too much money even for a man making $200,000 per year.
Rather than pay that, a politician would prefer to pass entire laws in order to get sex with a lobbyist or lobbyist’s “friend”. This is why I think Congress has completely succumbed to feminist ideologues.
I believe that this is why Congress has been going haywire over the past 10 years: behavior that was once overlooked and the women plentiful (and thus not worth $5000 an hour) is now so severely examined that women lobbyists and their “friends” can exact any legislative price in order to keep the extra-curricular activity humming on a more discrete basis...especially with Republican politicians like McCain.
In Germany, no male politician is going to even draft a law or make a phone call in order to get sex. For them, sex is worth $375 or the politician promises the intern that she will get to go on the junket to Greece. The power rests with the male politician, not his assistants.
Where sex costs $5000, it means the women who are near a sex hungry politician have far too much power and are certainly not interested in sleeping with him for free because he is a powerful man in and of itself. He becomes ripe for exploitation under these circumstances. Under these circumstances, the pathetic man might pass entire laws because a given intern “won’t like him” if he doesn’t.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. This man broke the law which he was sworn to uphold by supporting an illegal and immoral industry which turns women into sex objects for money and contributes to the breakdown of the nuclear family. It’s a shame another Rat will replace him.

My take, after listening to his 20 second announcement, is that he will NOT resign.
It sounded more like a Clintonian: “I've been a bad boy in my personal life, but now I have to get back to the people's business.”
