Ahhh......Communism.

Don't worry - Obama promises to "talk" the world and all will be well.

They're cats ... hell they'll probably wind up on someone's dinner table in China.

I tolerate the presence of one cat in my house. It makes my wife happy, so hey.

I’m not a fan of PETA, but this is deplorable.

The article is interesting but your commentary is pretty off-the-wall. The US already talks to China.

In some cultures, rats are held in high esteem and our treatment of them in this country would insult their senses. Its the same with our pets and their treatment in other cultures. While I don’t like to see it, I don’t think it is deplorable.

On the Chinese calendar it's the year of the Rat--therefore the poor cats get the slaughter treatment.

Let's just hope and pray it's NOT the year of the 'Rat here concerning America's politics.

So? Almost every so called humane animal rescue center in this nation is a death camp for cats, dogs and almost any other critter they get their hands on. 3 days is the usual sometimes a week or two but cats is normaly an hour or two. I love animals and have rescued many but the reality of the humane animal societies is just plain goulish and once again it’s all about the money.

Too many stray cats is not a good thing but to wipe them all out will only help the rat population to explode.

During the last avian flu, the market for cat meat went up, which meant the field rat population skyrocketed, which caused the rice yield to go down.

In Hanoi the gov started a visible pro-cat campaign, and had words with the Chinese gov about border crossing cat-nappers.

In Cambodia they simply started eating the field rats, which are actually big fat rice eaters, not the alley rats of NYC.

They eat cats in China.
