LOL.... I remember you posting on the yahoo site one time when FR went down, having panic attack. Pore (((trussell))).
To: John Robinson
Overall I like it, but the one complaint I have is the type font. I find it a little harder to read.

How did you tailor your “Review” page to show threads you like or have been active on?
To: Notary Sojac
I'd like to see that, but not sure what it will take to implement. Definately not the limited search technology we're using now, it can barely find article titles as it is. Heh. On a side note, I am playing around with a new toy, using Yahoo to perform some search functions. Try keying in
yahoo:beeber stuned
in the search box up top. Results are ugly looking, and I'm not sure how useful they are either. It's just a toy right now.

You did a good job.
It took me a few days to get used to it, but I am really enjoying some of the new features.
Is there a way to see the latest comments from only one topic?
Thanks.

I use the
Free Republic
Articles · Comments · Search
link on the top or bottom of each page to get back to the FR homepage. Just click the Free Republic and you go back to
here

Is anyone else experiencing the page jumping problem? When I open a thread, the page leaps down to the last post. It’s most annoying.

Syncro, I think it was you who told a Freeper how to put in the name of a poster to find all their posts, or someone told you how. Anyway I am trying to find that posting again and I can't find it. Was it you and can you help me?
Here's my sentiments on the new forum.

But what's the purpose of the tabs? Why Articles, Activity and Comments? And while it's a lovely lilac color, breaking news is hard to see.

I don’t have that problem. Mine still opens the article like FR always has.

I can’t read the sidebars. Fonts too tiny.

Beats me. I usually click on the link in the middle of the FR home page. Everything seems to be the same from there, except the "Search" feature.
Jump right in!
Most visitors to Free Republic are attracted to our very popular (and, warning: addictive) conservative news and discussion forum which can be found by clicking here or following any of the forum links in the sidebars.

I just answered my own question about the page leaping problem...if you click on the # Replies, it will take you to the last post. So it’s best not to do that...unless you like to read the last post first. ;)

The functionality is there, but it just hasn’t been spelled out how it works on the site.
Check post 487 in this thread for an idea.
