Thanks for the ping Snugs. I’ve been quite busy lately, internet challenged, etc, but hope is well in your corner of the world.

I am amazed how draining it is and they are likely to be here for about another 10 days.
I can see where it would. That mischievious look on the president’s face is priceless. You can really see how much he is like his Mom in pictures like this one!

snugs: Thank you for posting the DOSE tonight! . . . Our president ‘uplifts’ everyone around him from the 107-year-old ‘doughboy’ to the female Homeland Security professional!

[It only took the MSM/Democrat Party, and a country full of sheeple, five years to forget most of the lessons of 911 — and to desert the one man who has kept their sorry behinds SAFE despite relentless personal/political criticism!]
FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY
CSpan will re-broadcast the ceremony/President’s speech at 10:30ish PM EST tonight:

ARE WE TALKING OURSELVES INTO RECESSION?
[Actually, the MSM/Democrats are talking the sheeple into believing that we’re in a recession . . . Do you note a pattern here?!]

I’ve linked both the article and thread (at Lucianne.com)

That is a lot of work to have to put up with in your home, but bet it will look very nice once it’s finished.
God does work in mysterious ways sometime! LOL! This seems to be one of them!

I love President Bush and am already sad thinking of not seeing his picture every day post-Inauguration day ‘09.
I have seen the pattern emerging of the press and the democrats talking us into THINKING we’re in a recession, all the indicators to the contrary.
Why, we out here in West Texas are BEGGING for people to hire. There are FOR HIRE signs on every store front...including the store I work for. It’s incredible that we can be suckered like this!

People can be unbelievably idiotic — they know they’re doing fine, but can still be convinced that everyone else is doing horribly — after all, the MSM tells them so every day . . . no critical thinking abilities whatsoever! [Tomorrow is going to be particularly grating because the MSM is just waiting for the release of what they are going to portray as the worst ‘job report’ since the Great Depression!]

BTW: It seems as though the Texas economy is doing great (just read an article about the ‘surprising’— to the media — growth in the Houston area); yet another reason we’re thinking about moving to Texas some time during the next 2 or 3 years — just in time to help GWB with his library!

You and me both!
That man is 107? Dang, he’s held up well!
Hi! Ok, I’ve got a question for everyone, I missed the President dancing, does anyone happen to have a video link? My mom was telling me about it today, but since I’m back to working full time I don’t get much news lately. She said it was really cute too. :)
Yowsers, snugs! Was that damage from wind and rain?
Come on out here. It’s a great place to be. We don’t put any stock in what the (as Tony Snow calls it) the “has-been media” say. We KNOW what’s going on. We see it every day. When Dairy Queen is paying nearly $9 an hour, there IS no recession!
I just shake my head when I hear the dramatic tones and see the panic in the headlines that we’re just one paycheck (or lack thereof) away from total devastation. It’s just not SO!
My hubby's Grandaddy did the same thing in WWI, but he was 26 at the time.
Folks in real estate around here are just livid at all the negative press, because they know what the economic situation is, and they know that this area is not suffering from those problems, but still folks believe what they read, and interpret that to assume the same is going on around them.
