Obama......HIRE some PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS!! There are PILES and PILES of DIRT on the Clintons....start THROWING IT!!
Not to worry. He (and Hillary, who’s fundraisning is up) are going to be blowing all that money on their remaining primaries, throwing bombs at each other, and buying superdelegates. Whatever McCain is raising, he can squirrel a good bit away for the big post-convention war.
Fact of the matter is, no one gives money because they hate the other candidate. McCain is simply not energetic enough to rouse conservative voters to support him where it counts most, with their wallets and possibly not even with their votes. In other words, weak sauce. Clinton herself managed to raise 35 Billion in the same month as Obama which by and of itself would be an amazing sum were it not for Obama stealing the wind from her sails.
No matter who the democratic nominee, the odds do not look good for the Republican party in november. It may sound defeatist, but the signs are pointing towards a 96’ Bob Dole redux writ large.
This isn’t a problem. He will spend most of it trying to defeat the Beast.
It’s not like the ‘Rats don’t have a LONG history of cheating.
50%=c. 365,000 donors@ $25= c. $9m
40% (90-50) =c. 280,000 donors @ $100=c.$28m
leaves c. $9m to be donated by 70,000 = $130 average donation
90% of the donations were from people donating less than $100, meaning he can just ask them to donate more money
Only if the money is actually EARNED. Gimme money to politicians will ALWAYS be exempt from taxes.
Do you believe those online fundraising numbers?
More power to 'em.

LOL.
donations of <$200 aren’t reportable ,right? at least you don’t see them om internet donor lists like newsmeat. The math they released allows for 700,000 + donors to give amounts of < $130 (obviously, the average donation would be $60)
The amounts are reportable, and campaigns are required to keep accountings. However, the names don't have to be reported to the FEC (nor, therefore, to the public).
Note that the $200 requirement is in aggregate for the duration of the campaign, so if somebody gives a candidate $199 and then gives another $2 at some other point, their name gets reported whenever the total donated goes over $200.
mcCain has something much stronger than all that money on his side...
That’s why he was able to beat Romney
Does the total include discounts for bounced checks and bad credit card donations?
But it sure seems to me that a phone book from 1937 could generate a lot of people to give $150 each. The campaign has accounting, with names and addresses, but the list is not widely reported, so who would ever do an audit? It would all look fine until you started digging, and I don't think anyone would ever dig.
You should make that comment on YouTube. Nobody picked up on that yet.
We don’t need money to win. Have you chatted with many liberals lately? I think the average liberal agrees with us on things like taxation and how much the government should be involved in their daily lives. However, they have also been brainwashed to believe that anything someone with an R next to their name says is wrong. We just need to shake them up and get them to really listen to what the candidates are saying.
Actually, a perfect example of this is the community of Digg.com. Bring up Dick Cheney and people have nothing but the vilest things to say about him. Bring up illegal immigration and they want it stopped!
