March 6, 2008 -- IF AL GORE can pull himself away from saving the planet long enough, he might want to consider rescuing the Democratic Party from the clutches of utter self-destruction. . .

That would be like asking an arsonist to put out a fire. Hah!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this what conventions are for?

Only in a democracy, but the Democrats are about to learn the hard way about the advantages of living in a Republic. The harder they try to make their party operate like a democracy, the worse it's going to get. The Supreme Court might want to pencil in some court time between now and November.

You have got to love this quote:

“The only reason we ever lose is when we beat ourselves,” one nervous Democrat grumbled yesterday as the primary dogfight dragged on.

That and the fact that they are so liberal that most of America rejects their ideas. I believe that they will lose this fall and their attempt to nationalize healthcare will be a big reason.

So how would that constitute stealing the nomination if Hillary wins?

It doesn't, but what's critical for them is avoiding perceptions of skulduggery and disenfranchisement among the rat base - a very very risky maneuver.

The Dems are facing a complete meltdown already...

The dirt and the strongarm tactics are already turning off people who have no real clue how things work. And Ohio Supers are already banding together and saying “BRIBE US”!

I expect Denver to be a real riot, before this is over...

I love this! So let the old white guy come in and rescue the party. I’m sure the Dems would just love that...

I wish I could find the cartoon the Clayton Star published months ago of Wise Old Brier Al Gore waiting in the bushes while Brier Hillary Rabbit started fighting with the baby made of a certain sticky petroleum product.

I’m still surprised I haven’t seen anyone compare purchasing carbon offsets to buying indulgences (in the dark ages, you could supposedly buy your relatives out of Hell by giving money to the church.)

Anybody or anything that’s depending on Al Gore for salvation is in deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep trouble. Actually, if Charles Hurt is right, this is good news for the nation and the world!

So, what would the MSM Headlines be the next day?

“White male sends one candidate back to the kitchen, the other back to the plantation”

If Al doesn’t answer the phone, maybe they should call Connie Chung.

Comparison of carbon credits to buying indulgences was discussed in depth on FR for months and months.

It’s funny, all these parties, the Dems in the US, the Libs here in Canada - they’re all imploding. Our Libs, just last year, voted in the worst possible leader they have. It’s fun watching these two parties, totally infiltrated by Marxists, they are a slow motion train wreck in progress.

Great advice. If two of the most disfunctional politicians in America can't do it, add the the most disfunctional nut case in the world!

If you look at my posting history you will see I have been saying for a long time that Algore will be the choice of the dems at their convention. I have also said he will tough to beat.

I never learned to don the asbestos suit and so I have the flame marks from freepers to prove it too. lol
They will want somone noncontoversial, exoerienced adn Gore od “owed” because he was robbed in 2000.

It’s not Al Gore’s choice.

The Clintons TOLD him (in no uncertain terms I’m sure) that 2000 was the only shot he was allowed until Hillary decided to abandon her quest. That is precisely why Gore was SO frantic and desperate with the way that events unfolded in Florida.
