DC Indymedia is Wuke’s favorite media organ. Somebody else said his favorite home is the P Street woods. I don’t know.

When you look at the rhetoric the organization spews and the activities in Berkeley right now, it’s quite clear they verge on being terrorists. It’s basicly the same croud as ELF.

Well until authorities begin to arrest, prosecute and punish people for seditious and treasonous behavior, and not let the BS argument that they are exercising their First Amendment rights in these cases...

Absolutely nothing will come from any of this...

Now you are absolutely correct that any confrontations with the freakshow in Berkeley, California may turn into something really ugly is an extreme possibility...

I would not object to the gloves coming off now...

I wouldn’t argue with that.

“Durn! Ya beat me to it.”

LOL!

I even had to google...couldn’t remember what the site was. All I could remember was indy and nyc, but I found it.

I haven’t been there for years...reading would make me so angry. I even joined and gave my point of view (carefully), then the comment would disappear eventually. I did rile them up, though. I wasn’t the only one trying to upset them. There were others and I had to laugh.

They are insane.

I think they passed the terrorist test a long time ago.

P.S.: The NY Goe has a good report and photos of the damage on their website.

The comments there mentioned the fact that the authorities take this as a lark. Is the FBI and homeland security going to go after these folks?

If not, that’s going to be a real eye opener.

I appreciate the link. Describing this as a small explosive device was also an eye opener. This was not that small of a device.

What a ridiculously inaccurate report.

It shattered the front door (glass). Did not break the big windows on the west side of the station. When I passed it, I thought someone had simply broken the door with a crobar or something.

If you saw the documentary, Weather Underground, 2002, you saw that they are somewhat repentant. They acknowledge that it was terrorism, and that post-9/11 they have reconsidered what they did. There was just one of them who said she would do it all again--not Bill or Bernardine, can't remember her name. Of course any conservative would still consider them enemies of the United States in a certain sense.

As I understand it, the door and the window were damaged. One report stated that the door frame was damaged. (I believe I read that...)

If this is the case, it would seem to me that a stick of dynamite or so would have to been required.

It does depend on the placement of the divice. If it was thrown on the sidewalk, it would require more explosive than it would if it were taped to the door.

I don’t consider something of that level to be a minor explosion. People felt this blast over a block away.

From the NY GOE website:
From the photographs and video it is obvious that this was not the work of kids playing with firecrackers. The safety glass windows are shattered. The steel door is sprung from its hinges. The large video screen above the entrance is damaged. Witnesses on the 21st floor report feeling the building shake at the Marriott Hotel two blocks away.

Pictures look like more than a shattered glass and crowbar damage to the door...

Yes, I saw that. I was giving you an eyewitness report.

GOE's point is well taken: that any attack on a military recruiting station is important.

This is where we demonstrated May 19 of last year.

I couldn't see the north-facing big plate-glass window from the bus. When I saw all the broken glass and the shattered door and the police tape and all the toursits, I immediately knew it was a lefty attack, and said, "What did they do, break the f'in door?" The woman sitting behind me told me it had been a bomb.

It would be a shame if they damaged that nice video display. I'll check it out later and see if it's working. I always enjoy those displays when I pass by on the bus. Good recruiting stuffs!
