Breaking: small explosive device thrown at military recruiting office in Times Square, New York City.
“All is see are taxis.”
Good morning! You slept too long. We were up at 4 am EST watching the police...no taxi’s...no traffic. :)
I don’t care who you are — that’s funny!!!
Anybody checking Liberal websites? DU, Daily Kos?
I grew up with those huge fires on Ave. X between West and West 1st Streets, in Brooklyn.
Sounded like a war. =)
That’s funny, I thought that first thing too!
I was wondering if the “bomber” would be found to have a name like Wookie, Wuke, or similar form.
Why do we call him that?
As those fireworks rightly should, so they may remind us of the sounds of the Revolutionary War.
Correction, they are getting warmed up for March 19th, just testing out their game plan for the big day.
United For Peace and Justice (UFPJ), SDS, World Can't Wait, IVAW, Code Pink, etc. are all working together on this little project.
If you read through the Call to Action you can see that they are planning all kinds of lawlessness, in DC and around the country.
March 19th in DC: Wednesday, March 19th will begin early with a Public Assembly at 7:30 AM in McPherson Square (15th and K St.) with information about the day and how to plug in.
At 8 AM some groups will blockade the IRS,
others will shut down war profiteers in the K St. Corridor,
No War No Warming will be calling for a separation of oil & state at the American Petroleum Institute,
while the Grannies will knit outside the recruiters office!
At the same time, the March of the Dead will begin in Arlington Cemetery and process through downtown.
At 9 AM the Veterans March for Peace will begin with several stops, culminating with actions near the White House and Veterans Administration.
At noon, students will dance in the streets saying Funk the War and exposing war profiteers, recruiters and media along the way.
There will also be a demonstration of waterboarding outside the White House in the mid-afternoon.
Imagine thousands of us moving throughout the streets in Downtown DC, in big groups and small, all working to expose, disrupt and transform those that are promoting and profiting from war.
oin DC SDS on March 19th for mass direct action in protest of the Iraq War! A nationwide call has been put out by United for Peace & Justice (UFPJ), as well as the No War No Warming coalition, to converge in Washington DC on the 5th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq to take nonviolent direct action against the war machine.
This is NOT a march.
For the first time, UFPJ is calling for autonomous direct actions on a weekday, so instead of chanting at empty congressional buildings, we'll be interrupting business as usual for those promoting and profiting from war in Washington DC.
The radical left has been ineffective in "stopping the war" with protest marches, so now United For Peace and Justice (led by self described communist Leslie Cagan) is endorsing acts of lawlessness; something that SDS and RCP/WCW has been lobbying in favor of for years.
Expect more violent actions link this one - until the local police departments' leadership grow some testicles and start cracking heads and the FBI, BATFE, Homeland Security, US Justice Department, erc. also get serious about arresting and charging these radicals with terrorism.

What's next?
Members of a hazmat team inspect the front door of the damaged army recruiting station in Times Square after a bicyclist set off an explosive device there around 3:45 a.m.
A suspicious-looking bicyclist was spotted just before an explosion rocked the Times Square military recruitment center - the same scenario as two unsolved embassy bombings, police said.
The bicyclist, reportedly in a grey hooded sweatshirt, was seen around the time of the 3:45 a.m. blast in midtown, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told reporters today.
"Someone was trying to make a statement," a police source said.
The vacant office, the nation's busiest recruiting station, suffered shattered windows and twisted metal. No injuries were reported, although the blast rattled guests in the nearby Marriott Marquis hotel.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg, standing alongside Kelly, said the attack "insults every one of our brave men and women in uniform stationed around the world."
The mention of a bicyclist raised possible links to a May 2005 bombing at the British Consulate and an Oct. 26 explosion at the Mexican Consulate.
In both cases, police said, the suspect was possibly riding a bicycle when hollowed-out grenades - filled with black powder and a fuse - were tossed into the consulates.
No arrests were made in those attacks. Authorities said it was too early to connect the Times Square explosion with those incidents.
There was no word on the type of device used in the attack on the recruiting station parked on a traffic island at W. 43rd St.
"I heard a pop," said George Wendt, 44, a deliveryman sitting behind the wheel of a truck a few feet from the explosion site. "All I saw was a puff of smoke."
He runs a guerrilla radio station in DC area, WSQT...
"This is Wuke wepohting foh WSQT, gowiwwa wadio, fwom the stweets of DC. Power to the people!"
Undoubtedly the act of a peace loving, tolerant liberal.
This might be kind of fun to watch.
Perhaps an M80? Those were big enough to blow a trash can apart. Me and the hoodlum friends liked playing with them when I was 15. If so, they are powerful enough to blow off a limb or if near your head, kill you.
Ping. Now we know why Berkeley is spending $20,000 a day on police security for the Code Pink protests, the radicals need babysitting.
Past time to crack down on these scumbags! Lawful protest is one thing, but violent illegal terroristic behavior is quite another.
Good time to ask Obama more about his pals Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, the unrepentant TERRORISTS from the Weather Underground days.
These soldier-hating anti-American scumbags need to be punished to the full extent the law allows whenever they cross the line into illegality (ok, I know that won’t happen in our PC-infested weaselhood of liberalism).

I used to follow this website during the week of the Republican National Convention in 2004 at Madison Square Garden. It was rather scary...they had addresses and times where every VIP was meeting, having dinner, etc., and posted them on the site.
I reported the website to the NYC police. Perhaps they knew about these people already, but I wasn’t taking any chances.
I attended Thursday’s convention as a guest of a delegate, and felt safe. The security was unbelievable.

I've already called 14th Precinct Detectives.
