How obama or clinton will beat McCain
3-5-08 | self

Posted on 03/05/2008 5:37:32 AM PST by deuteronlmy232

Not prophecy, just common sence:

Which ever is the nominee of the d's, whether it be obama or clinton, all the winner need do to win in the general election, is to get McCain to loose his temper one time on National televion, reverting into one of his infamous cursing, cusing, foul mouthed attacks.

If his handlers drug him up enough to keep him civil, he won't know whether he is a conservative or liberal, not even kava kava could keep him civil and sharp enough to answer questions.

Olympia Snowe will be his running mate if clinton wins the d nomination, yet that will not help when McCain refers to the d as a $#%%*(* &*^% or a $#%%*(* *&%%#@.

The rest of the country is going to be turned off by two northern uber-liberals on the same ticket.

Actually, I think the Oprah crowd will go orgasmic at having Hillary/Obama on the ticket. The Dems will be unified and very tough to beat in the fall. McCain still has a long way to go just to secure his base.

In the past two elections, both parties nominated candidates more or less at the extreme edges of their respective parties... That is, if you assume that W was a “real” conservative.

Sorry, but that is an assumption I could never make or agree with.

As for mccain being a centralist? Not the mccain I've been following, the mccain I've been following is far to the left oc center.

I believe McLame now gets ZERO free media unless it’s negative or another slip up by an older man to make him look older and feeble.
On the otherside, Hillary and Obama will now garner positive press for months, all about uniting the Democrats and make the world better.
People who think McLame wins this in a walk are delerious Kool-Aid drinkers.

I agree and if the d can get mccain to lose his temper and swear on national tv, the media will play it over and over again. Can hillary get him to do it and will she and her ilk use it to it's greates advantage? Ask that guy who ran against her for senate.

When I went to school, a professor told me "not to worry about spelling, that is what secretaries are for."

But her on FR, I guess I'll have to learn how to use spell check.

And I guess I disagree with you. The hottest of hot heads, when properly motivated, can usually keep their cool. As long as McCain is motivated to win the Presidency, I’m not too concerned about his temper. (Besides, if Hillary can overcome whining about being asked first questions, and Obama can overcome whining about the press asking him too many questions at once, then McCain could overcome an outburst of anger.>/I>

I would hope you are right, but I don't think so. The press will go along way to cover for the d, but mccaine will find no such cover.

Learn to spell before you post again...it’s embarrassing.

Only you can embarrass you. You can not embarrass me nor can I embarrass you.

Ask President Kerry how well predictions this early work out.

Wasn't a prediction, only my opinion and a guess. Time will tell how accurate an opinion or guess.

Spell check won’t help you under the circumstances. Neither will idiotic speculations about McCain having a rage meltdown.

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I tend to agree with that prophesy. A Hillary/Obama ticket is the obvious play for the Dems, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see it shaping up quick-smart — maybe even in the next couple days. McCain would really have his work cut out for him if that happened.

That being said, if McCain *were* able to consolidate his base and do a credible job of obliterating Hillary’s platforms leading up to the election, he may end up being a pleasantly surprisingly good President. This on the basis that if everybody dislikes him uniformly he is probably doing the job right.

Sorry, but that is an assumption I could never make or agree with.

Well.... it's clear now, after the past 7 years.. but, I think it was still in doubt in 2000.

As for McCain; He's certainly right of center on several issues, but... on the whole, I'd still say he's slightly to the right... ever so slightly. Regardless, he's closer to the center than either of the Dim candidates.

I suppose you've figured it out by now, but.... people on here much prefer "opinions" to be in the comments, not as a post. We POST public articles, then COMMENT with our opinions. I cut you some slack since you're such a newbie. :-)

Welcome.... and enjoy!

Yep. I doubt if Obama would win here on his own, but The Clintons have this state in the bag. Locked.
