As reported by CNN (CNN en Espanol?), Alvaro Uribe (president of Colombia) has just announced a few minutes ago that the Colombian government will submit a criminal complaint against the President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez before the International Criminal Court for his ties with the FARC and having financed and supported a terrorist organization.

Video coming soon.

Who put the Colombians up to legitimizing this court?

Your not seeing the fun part, leftists love the ICC but now their bastard child of a court will be going after their favorite son. Pass the popcorn.

Just a note: It’s COLOMBIA, not COLUMBIA.

Colombia. No “u” in the name of that country.

Not one “o” but two.

No “u” in Colombia.

Yeah, a little pet peeve of mine....

I wonder if any of the Democrat candidates would have the cajoles to take a stand against Chavez.
Kennedy didn’t follow through and we got 50 years of Fidel.

Chavez is a sly fool who is pushing every button in South America to create problems.

bingo, his reaction was to try to anticipate any negative news, and cover it up with his own posturing/troop threats.

Preciso responder em portuguêse.

Ele não pode calar, porque ele não tem cérebro bastante para controlar sua boca.

Mas, isto deveria ser repetido no qualquer caso.

“Oi, Ugo, cretino. Cala a boca!”

I’m sure they will issue a “strongly worded reprimand”. They may even censure him.

You heard it here first, one of the FARC documents mentions Obama. I’ll post another translated article with text!

“That’s ok, even if they get the cold shoulder from the world court at least they can say they’re “playing by the rules” and acting like the mature party here (just by their reaction you can tell).

Also, if the evidence is irrefutable, it will show that the world court is a sham if they don’t act....”

I think you’re too logical, and optimistic with that statement. Look how the UN is such a sham, and actually quite irrelevant. They just keep on being so and getting paid well to be such.

Such action on the part of Colombia however might make some MSM headlines on the matter that otherwise wouldn’t.

Somehow I doubt the ICC will do more than wag a finger at Chavez. I'm sure they'll consider Colombia's killing a known terrorist to be a bigger "crime."

The U.N. and ICC has had multiple occasions where they expose themselves as nothing more than a sham for socialists and tyrants. That's never so much as put a dent in their continued reign of error. (Not a typo.)

Chavez is a sly fool who is pushing every button in South America to create problems.

I especially don't like it that a) he's trying to knock over Colombia and help FARC set up an anti-American dictatorship, b) sucking up to Putin and buying weapons by the truckload, and c) sucking up to the Chinese, who are already running the port facilities at either end of the Canal Zone.

This could get ugly fast.
