Obama: Sermon on Mount Justifies Same-Sex Unions

(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) told a crowd at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, Sunday that he believes the Sermon on the Mount justifies his support for legal recognition of same-sex unions. He also told the crowd that his position in favor of legalized abortion does not make him "less Christian."

"I don't think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state," said Obama. "If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans." (See video here) St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans condemns homosexual acts as unnatural and sinful.

That’s an excellent question. He may as well not bring it up with Ahmadinijad; they don’t have homosexuals in Iran! (and with their penchant for corporal punishment, that’s probably close to accurate).

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

Obama has the freedom to side with the hate America socialists, and support the killing of unborn babies and refuse to acknowledge that there is a "right" and "wrong" if he chooses to. However, when he has the nerve to blasphemy Jesus' own words, I just can't let it go!

This man is no more Christian than I am muslim!

There is NO obscure passage in the entire Bible! And for Obama's information, Romans isn't the only place that homosexuality is mentioned, and it is VERY clear that it is an abomination to God!

But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,
by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,

To get a little more of a glimpse of this man's character...

When he was in the Illinois Senate, for example, he repeatedly opposed a bill that would have defined as a "person" a baby who had survived an induced-labor abortion and was born alive.

In a 2001 Illinois Senate floor speech about that bill, he argued that to call a baby who survived an abortion a "person" would give it equal protection rights under the 14th Amendment and would give credibility to the argument that the same child inside its mother's womb was also a "person" and thus could not be aborted.

ANYONE who is honest, would immediately recognize the insanity and absolute immorality of this.

Anything I say in more than very short paragraph will digress into a rant. We've recently adopted Isaiah 10:1 (CJB) says, - "1 Woe to those who enact unjust decrees and draft oppressive legislation (2) to deprive the impoverished of justice and rob my people's poor of their rights, looting widows and preying on orphans! (3) What will you do on the day of punishment, when calamity comes from afar?

But we have no shame as a nation. We murder our unborn, and confuse evil for good, and oppress those who don't. This nation should fear God for what's coming. But they won't. They'll curse God and "cry out to the rocks".

I understand. Lately, I've gotten to where it's just not in me to warn people anymore. Maybe this is wrong. I haven't decided yet. But I'm tired of telling people (metaphorically) NOT to stand on the RR tracks when the train is coming fast and it's within sight!

In fact, I've pretty much decided to keep my opinion to myself about politics here with all the division. What falls will fall. Sticking to my favorite subjects of the Lord and firearms is what I'm trying to do now. :-)

Well, you got to admit that Jesus didn't say anything against homosexuality in that sermon.

Which is, of course, the liberal mindset. If there is no explicit banishment of and action then it must be ok in regards to the Bible.
