Chris Peden, candidate for U.S. Congressional District 14, spoke at a Katy Area Republicans meeting Tuesday evening. Incumbent Ron Paul was unable to attend because he is on the presidential campaign trail.
District 14 runs along the Texas coast, southwest of Houston, taking in portions of Fort Bend County.
Peden is mayor pro-tem of Friendswood where, he says, he led the fight for the city's first-ever municipal tax refund, returning more than $1 million to taxpayers. While doing that, he pointed out, the town added 20 percent to its police force.
A certified public accountant, Peden described himself as a pro-family, pro-life Christian conservative who believes in free markets, smaller government and individual responsibility.

Chris Peden sounds like an impressive candidate in his own right.
Go Chris Go!
Good luck Mr. Peden, you’re going to need it. You’re going up against the leader of the kooks.
Go! Go! Go!
I’m sure pulling for this guy. Paul needs to get the hell off the public landscape.
Thanks.

It’s on March 4.
A lot of people I talk with about Ron in the CD 14. still dont see Ron! Some will still vote with eyes closed for Ron. Ron however, no longer fools the majority of the people with whom I have talked. The man has embarrassed himself so nationally that some of it had to get back to the dist and has! So the big winner should be Friendswood Mayor Pro Tem Chris Peden! Ron sure has had a big all Ron all the time media blitz in CD 14! My friend believes people will still vote for Ron because of his major TV and radio ad saturation and against Chris just because the perception is he has little financial backing no TV and radio ads so he must not be the one to replace the shrimp guy. I say what do Airline Pilots know about politics anyway!? Now where was that Chris Peden victory party again!

Hey look, the Chris Peden victory party!
How’s Peden fundraising going?
My father was an Army officer.
I was an Army Brat.
Dad served in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam.
Because of his specialty he was called up in an advisory capacity in the first Gulf War.
My father died in 2002.
Dad made me understand when any American says we need to be out of the war each and every fighting troop takes that, as you do not support them. When one of our own in a responsible position and high authority says . like Dr. Paul did Im against this war. Every troop is/was wounded by those words. Words mean things and we have troops on the ground. When you vote against body armor that is unforgivable!
I see military people who are still serving and I was told that Dr. Paul was no friend. I am a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Dr. Paul is called Dr. No to Body Armor. Those folks are angry.
