Grim Anniversary: Waco Siege [28 February 1993]
Answers.com ^

Posted on 02/28/2008 6:04:08 AM PST by yankeedame

"Waco Siege, a fifty-one-day siege by federal
agents of the Branch Davidian religious group's commune
headquarters outside Waco, Texas, in early 1993. The
siege, which began after a botched and bloody attempt on
28 February 1993 to arrest the group's leader, David
Koresh, on a weapons charge, ended in the deaths of four
federal agents and seventy-eight Branch Davidians. The
stalemate ended when U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno
ordered the use of force on April 19. Soon after federal
agents moved, fire engulfed the compound, killing
seventy-two, provoking controversy over the use of force
in dealing with dissident sects. Although some surviving
members of the sect were acquitted of manslaughter, they
received harsh sentences when convicted on lesser
charges. In August 1999, new documents surfaced
indicating that the FBI had fired three flammable tear
gas canisters during the raid on the compound. Following
a ten-month investigation, Senator John C. Danforth
released a report concluding that although federal
agents had mishandled evidence, they had neither started
the fire nor improperly employed force."

I fully expect the MSM to bring this up and ask Billary about it.

By her own admission, her 8 years as First Lady are part of the "experience" she touts!

The investigation began 9 months earlier while GHW Bush was still President.

Investigations and plans are one thing.

When the shooting starts that is usually called "escalating the level of the violence".

Don’t recall “minigunning” but I do remember reading that a certain Ruby Ridge sniper was there and empty casings were found in his lair. My disgust meter was pegged during this event. Also remember reading that some of the “good guy” deaths could be attributed to “friendly fire”. And I remember a high level official with a T-shirt on about the event jumping for joy with the compound burning in the background. I better quit now ...

This is just a place to start. It is a really complex issue, and a long journey to the whole story. Don’t remember details from so long ago.

From what I remember Ruby Ridge is supposed to have had a connection to this software as well. It’s supposed to be that the Feds wanted Weaver to do something regarding a neighbor who was involved with the software and supposedly, there was a member of the Seventh Day Adventists at Waco who was involved.

If you are a seeker, you may want to try and get ahold of Orlin Grabbe. He had a huge archive of stuff.

Warning: If you are used to FreeRepublic’s adoring of Bush, you’ll find Grabbe’s perspective ‘unusual.’

Still looking.

This is a very interesting link:

http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?read=4839

Excerpt:

>There are more Waco mysteries.

For instance, in Linda Thompson’s documentary Waco: The Big Lie,video footage of the raid appears to show three ATF agents being killed by “friendly” fire. We see the agents enter the window, leaving a fourth agent on the roof. He then sprays the wall with machine gun fire. Many believe this was when the three men died, and many think it deliberate.

These three dead agents had all been personal bodyguards of Clinton’s during the presidential campaign. Also, there are rumors that, during a campaign stop in Waco the summer before, these three had accompanied Clinton to a barber shop where he received a haircut. The barber was a Branch Davidian. The five men are said to have had a long, private conversation.

Could the information on Jeff Little’s computer have been the subject of that reputed conversation? If so, then their killing during the raid takes on the appearance of one faction of government attempting to retrieve the information, while another faction interferes with that retrieval. But, again, this is only a guess.<

The point is that what started under Bush I continued and escalated under Clinton, and was then covered up by Bush II.
It was the same nucleus of thugs that murdered Vicky Weaver and went on to murder at Waco.

And nothing was remedied, nothing has changed, but the name of the man in the Oval Office.

I saw that and was confused by it. He waited til they got in, and appeared to be shooting indiscriminatingly in through the window. But the men came back out and tumbled off the roof.
They may have died later from being shot, though.

Not to be difficult, but we don’t know that you don’t have any bombs either. Does that give the government the right to storm your house, lay siege to your family for 51 days and then set fir to your house?

Not saying you’re wrong as I have not read the autopsy reports, but it is contradicted by each of the survivors, who certainly have not gone out of their way to help the government’s case.

Yep, Wesley Clark was in charge. Still a Clintonist, he has about 5 days before his (veep) hopes are dashed.

I didn’t get that from a government story - I got it from the FLIR video.

Where did you get the FLIR video? The FLIR video came from the government itself. It wasn't smuggled out by a whistleblower. It was released by the FBI.

If you believe that sunlight reflecting off broken glass doesn’t reflect at all, then reflects suddenly in a regular pattern of flashes, then stops for a while then starts up and repeats again, they you’re exceptionally gullible.

The FLIR aircraft wasn't stationary. It was orbiting the area. Because of this movement, it flew through the beams of sunlight reflecting off the broken glass lying on the ground. The only way you'd have unbroken reflection as you assert is if the airplane was stationary in the sky. It wasn't.

Please explain how bullets fired into the back of a concrete structure fail to leave pockmarks (craters) in the masonry itself? (See: Automatic Gunfire Recorded on FLIR)

Thank you for the links. I’ve bookmarked both items for research.

Regarding Bush: While I do hate Bush bashing, there are many things about him that I am very disappointed about and I do have theories about the Bushes that I keep hidden. I won’t likely be shocked.

When the shooting starts that is usually called "escalating the level of the violence".

This incident was hot on the heels of Ruby Ridge, which also occurred on GHW Bush's watch. This shows that GHW Bush failed to curtail the actions of an out-of-control federal agency.

You mean one of the survivors who was more concerned about the safety of his dog than that of his 18-year old daughter?
