In 1983 I had the privilege of being a part of the U.C. Santa Barbara College Republicans when we brought in WFB for a speech/fundraiser, and got to have dinner with him. Gracious and charming, he was an excellent piano player.

Few men have done more good. RIP Mr. Buckley.
It seems right somehow that it’s this year. Sort of an end of an era if things continue in the direction they are heading. Hopefully the beginning of a new conservative insurgency as well.

Buckley was a valient man. But, based on the number of threads, he has tasted death many times this morning.
