I need help. My employer is making me watch "An Inconvenient Truth" and there's no way out of it. What movie or documentary can I use to prove an opposing and rational viewpoint?
Besides the obvious point that anyone watching that movie today has completely missed the scads of material out there disproving virtually (oops) ALL of what the Goorsickle says. Try to download a copy of “The Great Global Warming Swindle”, produced by one of the independent channels in the UK. (Or course, the BBC wouldn’t touch it, since there’s not one scientist in the whole BBC broadcast crew.) “Swindle” does a great job...all examples are backed up by facts...not consensus.

If they ask you what you're doing, you can just say that you're trying to imagine a whole world of people and animals dying, because you really want to understand the severity and urgency of the situation. It's a psychological acting-out that helps you listen and learn.

Plus, make comments about Al that seem like you care about him, but actually insinuate the opposite. For example, “He’s getting so BIG. I worry about his health,” and “I always wonder how far he would have gone without that speech impediment.”
Call a lawyer. File a lawsuit when they fire you for not watching. You just won the lottery.

If you do, then take a peek at www.climateaudit.org (statistical review) and www.surfacestations.org (why are the measurement stations in the parking lot or under the air-conditioning vent, and why can’t Hansen tell) about climate science stuff in general.
Also, There are a number of newspaper articles specifically noting the qualifications that UK students have to be made aware of before being shown the movie. Use these links to find the data, don’t use them to show your employer, as he’ll just dismiss it because it came via Newsbusters.

On May 18, NewsBusters introduced you to Kristen Byrnes, the fabulous fifteen-year-old from Maine who had torn apart many of the myths purported by the Global Warmingist-in-Chief, soon-to-be-Dr. Al Gore, in his schlockumentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”

I might recommend Syrup of ipecac but I won’t because the results would be too nasty (although harmless).
If you can get access to the DVD he/she/it plans to show, steal it and replace it with a porno. “Technical difficulties” should put a stop to the show at that point. If you’re really in a foul mood, make a copy of the label from Algore’s flick and stick that on the porn DVD. Then, time how long it takes before he/she/it pounces on the player to stop it.
(If you just can’t bring yourself to do something like this with a porno, use a Teletubbies DVD instead. Either one, however, makes a valid statement about Gore’s propaganda piece.)
