When Beydoun's travel documents also raised concerns...I haven't flown anywhere for quite a few years,so allow me this question, what kind of travel documents do you need to fly from Miami to LA? Since when do we need internal travel documents?
Just asking.

I watched the movie “Rendition” this weekend, so I know that this was just another innocent Arab man being harrassed by American Intelligence. This type of treatment just perpetuates the cycle of violence. We need to treat these terrorist with mercy so the next generation of arabs won’t hate us. /sarcasm

The actual source for this --
the Miami Herald article -- mentions that he had a Lebanese passport and a fraudulent U.S. passport. It also includes this little tidbit: "His jail record lists an alias: Miguel Garcia."

Maybe he used his passport for ID instead of a driver’s license.

This idiot should be put on a rendition flight to secret prison XXXX so our water boarding specialists can get in some practice

Beydoun, who was carrying multiple passports, then ran from security screeners, jumped 25 feet off the second floor concourse and broke his arm and ribs, The Miami Herald reported. Sic semper tyrannis!

Traveling without ID will get you a secondary screening, but you can still fly. It just becomes even more unpleasant. (Although for some, it may be preferable to "forget" one's ID lest one be IDed at an inopportune time.)

I had him down as Liverpool-Irish. Naah. He's a Geordie.

Nope, Beydoun had coke in his bag. The only kind of security test you can run with coke in your bag at MIA is of the drug-detection systems.
To: GovernmentShrinker
He actually was a party guide for the other two guys...shocking.

I think this might be like the Imams-this was a trial run testing security.Somehow I get the feeling that this was no "test." This might be a live operation.
My school just made an announcement on the public address: All after school activities are cancelled all students AND staff are to exit the building and go directly home. Even night school! That never happens. Something weird is going on. A few hours ago, the school made another announcement to keep all students out of the hallways. They say that only when there has been an "incident" that doesn't rate a "code red" alert. Somethimes the orders come from downtown.
