The airwaves have been filled today with the clip of an angry Hillary saying "shame on you, Barack Obama," and another of Clinton mocking the notion that, to believe Barack, "celestial choirs will be singing."
But on this evening's Hardball, Chris Matthews unearthed yet another clip of Hillary at her harshest. And after playing it, a butter-wouldn't-melt-in-his-mouth Matthews ripped the Clinton campaign strategy. Words don't do justice to the fingernails-on-blackboard tone, but here's what a raspy-voiced Hillary said in the video Matthews played.
HILLARY CLINTON: Quit misleading people about what I do. [Ed.: shades of Bob Dole's unsuccessful line to George H.W in 1988: "stop lying about my record.'] Quit telling people what is not true about my plan. You know, come on: enough is enough! Let's get real here, and compare exactly what both of us stand for!

Laura Bush is a perfect example. She's demure, ladylike, and respectable. She can afford to be. She isn't running for anything. She holds a position best held by someone who can smile nicely, hold herself gracefully, and for the most part, keep her mouth shut.
I'm not criticizing Laura Bush; I like her. I'm not defending Hillary; I dislike her. But the fact remains that men do not like women who try for... anything, really. In the end, the game remains the same. We are trophies, helpmeets, maybe someone's inspiration... but men do hate us when we compete. Sad truth.
Okay, rant over.
She looked like Bill there in the beginning with the finger pointing.
Stop being b——y ;-)
She reminds me of an angry hornet delivering a venomous sting.
All kidding aside, I think you’re being unfair to Ferraro. She was never that unlikeable.
Maggie Thatcher was a trophy? Jean Kirkpatrick was a trophy? I believe we want the same things in women politicians that we do in men...strength, honesty, capability, and conservative principles. Hillary is simply a horrible human being. She would be a horrible person even if she was blessed like Ron Jeremy (PBUH).
Two models of how to be a successful woman: Condeleeza Rice and Oprah Winfrey. Although I don’t like Oprah’s crying at the drop of a hat (she knows her audience), she would run circles around most men. And Condie, what can you say? She’s just amazing.
Didn’t men like Margaret Thatcher? Was she screechy, demure, or something else?
Perhaps there is a third way.
Thatcher and Rice. Yes. Thank you. I feel better now.
Easy. They have deluded themselves enough to believe that she would actually make a good president. Sending her out to speak is a natural... they’ve drank the kool-aid and believe every word that this woman says.
LOL...at the very least. :)
