I dislike Hillary and Mrs Obama. Having said that, it is almost impossible for a woman to manifest any ambitions or desires of any type without being ripped apart. We still have the notion that femininity is lost when a woman raises her hand or her voice. The only way a woman can hold onto male approval is to keep her voice down, or better yet, shut up, and try for nothing, reach for nothing, fight for nothing.

Laura Bush is a perfect example. She's demure, ladylike, and respectable. She can afford to be. She isn't running for anything. She holds a position best held by someone who can smile nicely, hold herself gracefully, and for the most part, keep her mouth shut.

I'm not criticizing Laura Bush; I like her. I'm not defending Hillary; I dislike her. But the fact remains that men do not like women who try for... anything, really. In the end, the game remains the same. We are trophies, helpmeets, maybe someone's inspiration... but men do hate us when we compete. Sad truth.

Okay, rant over.

I think they all (men and women alike) look like goofs when they raise their voice and rant and rave. My memories of Reagan where quiet anger “well - there you go again...”. GW Bush is generally quiet when angry in the press. Same goes for Condi Rice and Maggie Thatcher I believe.

Maggie Thatcher was a trophy? Jean Kirkpatrick was a trophy? I believe we want the same things in women politicians that we do in men...strength, honesty, capability, and conservative principles. Hillary is simply a horrible human being. She would be a horrible person even if she was blessed like Ron Jeremy (PBUH).

Two models of how to be a successful woman: Condeleeza Rice and Oprah Winfrey. Although I don’t like Oprah’s crying at the drop of a hat (she knows her audience), she would run circles around most men. And Condie, what can you say? She’s just amazing.

Didn’t men like Margaret Thatcher? Was she screechy, demure, or something else?

Perhaps there is a third way.
