Right after that, a documentary against the Iraq war and GITMO are announced in a second award category. Is this outrageous, or is it me? Having the military introduce a film on same sex issues given the don't ask don't tell policy, and then have it followed by anti Iraq war, anti WOT films is political and using the troops as pawns IMHO.
Quote from the winner:
Let's hope we move this country away from the dark side. . .
Digraceful!
I stopped watching the Oscars, the Emmy’s and all the other hollywood debased, self-congratulatory shows a long, long time ago - sounds like I made the right decision!
Interestingly enough, most of the major networks now offer full length episodes of television shows on their websites for free. Don’t need a remote anymore, plus it costs them money to do it. You get entertainment, the wife gets to do what she wants, and you cost Hollyweird some money.
What!?
>>Tom Hanks is a Leftist. He goes in the bin with the rest of them.<<
He is. Every leftist sees our military as “security guards” that should be kept in the US and away from foreign shores.
I once watched him on Letterman (by accident)and he made a crack about Christians “banning” the film Da Vinci code, which was exaggeration.
If anyone saw Charlie Wilson’s War, it was just a Democrats wet dream.
I wasnt paying attention, then my wife tells me to look, because of course its notable that they were being respectful to the troops. Tom Hanks introduces some soldiers who annouce the nominees for some documentary related award. The applause for the troops wasnt too noticeable (and far less than later one when the guy made his dark side comment). So Im like, well at least they did something nice.
Then I hear the people who won the award that the troops just introduced talking about the movie and this actress is crying about how important it was to make this movie about same sex marriage or something homosexual related.
Im like WHAT?! They had the military introduce an award given to a movie about homosexuality (knowing the dont ask dont tell Clinton policy), NO WAY! Then they follow up with another award announced by Tom Hanks that included anti-Iraq war and anti WOT documentaries. The winner of that award gives some anti war lip service and the audience goes buck (must louder than when the troops were introduced).
I’m sorry, but that was not appropriate.
Hollywood bastards!
I was sickening but, at least that big fat tub of goo didn’t win.
It was disgusting .. that whole series.
The political speech: typical bash
Bush Hollyweirdism... I was waiting
for “vote Obama” next. I’m furious
this platform was given them.
Why does the military participate?
And that’s what I took away from it (BTW holy hell I didn’t realize how much BIGGER he had gotten. YUCK)
What do you think about the 65 MILLION DOLLAR gift to GAY CAUSES from one of Microsoft’s co-founders (Ric somebody — committed suicide).

They had some individual soldiers introduce the award nominees.
Come on guys. Knock them when they deserve it, but not about this. No one has a clue which film or documentary is going to win. It’s a crap shoot. It wasn’t a setup. Get off their backs and get on them when they really do something rotten, which is often. But not this time.
Despicable.
Sounds like a leftist wetdream of agitprop..... I wasn’t watching that dreck so I don’t know what happened but I gather from what you said that they had some troops introduce a documentary category so that they could associate our great military with (1) a film about gay marriage, and (2) the anti-war films in the following category?? Seems like the agitprop scumbags of Hollyweird are getting more brazen all the time......
What are the “Oscars” and why are they relevant?
So who noticed George Clooney and Tommy Lee Jones clapping at their own names?
With all of the anti American drivel that came out of Hollywood this past year, I also don’t see why the DOD even considered participating.
Na, it was set up.
