A Rash of New Sites Throws Some Cold Water On the Hot Candidate
It's the nature of the Web -- and, really, of life. What goes up must come down. What's popular becomes too popular. What's seen as hip and hot and cool eventually gets mocked.
Even, yes, Barack Obama.
In recent days, sites have popped up indicating that the ongoing online Obamamania has hit a wall. What kind of wall? A snarky, ironic, this-Obama-thing-has-gotten-over-the-top wall. Obama's smiling mug is mashed up on countless faces on SenatorObamas.com. He's Sumobama. He's Pharaohbama. He's Navajobama, complete with a blue-and-white feathered headdress. The blog Is Barack Obama the Messiah? features a photo of the Illinois senator standing on a flight of stairs, Christlike, above an adoring crowd while a ray of light beams from above.
And on the aptly titled Web site BarackObamaIsYourNewBicycle.com, the candidate caters to all your needs: Barack Obama made your bed . . . Barack Obama folded your laundry . . .

Barack “AntiMatter” Obama
Obamamania has hit a wall
THIS IS WHY=
Obama Firestorm (The Globe tabloid picks up the Sinclair story)
Fine, since more than one has requested, I shall refer to him now as Hussein Obaaaama....

"Audacity, hope, and change?
"There's nothing new about politicians wanting to drive taxes through the roof.
"There's nothing new about soft socialism that would drive unemployment to European levels.
"There's nothing new about politicians who think bureaucrats should ration your heath care.
"And there's nothing new about wealthy politicians with their own kids in private prep schools who oppose giving middle and working class parents a real choice about their kids schools.
"The only thing audacious about my opponent's proposals is that he's taking policies that have failed every time they've been tried, putting a new ribbon around them, and trying to pass them off as new.
"And he's HOPING you won't notice."
I could write a pretty good Republican riff on audacity, hope, and change. On education, social security, health care, and tax reform, it remains the case that we, not the dems, are the party of reform. McCain should go after "audacity, hope, and change," and make them his own.
“Example, Noah age 25, Obama has this almost irrational following and I myself cant sometimes explain why Im supporting him. Hes all things to all men...”
Three reasons why I might be tempted to vote for Obama:
He’s to do away with the designated hitter rule in MLB.
He’s going to institute a 64 team playoff for Division IA college football.
I’ve also got a neighbor that doesn’t mow his yard often enough.
It irks me when folks lift phrases or whole ideas from radio yammerheads.
People should think for themselves and not be brainwashed by some
self-styled smart guy whose chief talent is running his mouth.
It’s on this thread no one knows reallyhttp://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1975275/posts
He is liberal in that Gay marriage is good. Condoms are good for 14 year-olds. He is a dove in that our army should be used to hire people who can’t find jobs. And teach them to polish guns not to shoot them.
Obama has been given a free pass. He does not take controversial positions. He votes as liberal as he can. He never produces any real legislator that becomes law. He never stands up to be counted.
He has never held a real job other than college professor, lawyer or vote caster. He has never run a lemonade stand let alone a government. His wife makes the money just like the Clintons. She gets over $300,000 to run local marketing for a hospital, normally an $80K job. He is very liberal. He is very inexperienced. He appeals to those who are themselves inexperienced. He appeals to those who are very liberal. He may be about change. But its change to the left. We have never gone to the Swedish/Canadian left. I have a saying. "Some people have to learn the hard way." Well it seems that the country needs to learn the hard way. So we, as a country, can wake up like a teenage girl who finds herself pregnant after a one night stand which everyone warned against. Then people will be more interested in reason and real solutions.
I do a fair amount of photoshop work, and if that’s a fake, it’s a very good one.
You’re probably right, but a boy can dream.
