They'll never find that thing.

There is word (an archaeologist I heard on Coast to Coast with George Noory so take it for what it’s worth) that Israeli officials know where the Ark is, I believe he said buried beneath the Temple Mount, they are reluctant to move on it because of the muslim presence in the area.

I heard a pastor say once that the Ark is nowhere on Earth, it could quite possibly be in Heaven. Reason being is because if the Ark was still here, people would worship it as opposed to worshiping God....which would be idolatry.

IMHO, with absolutely no evidence to support, I bet it was melted down by the Assyrians, Babylonians, or Romans and the gold ended up in hundreds of other objects.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that the bible describes the Ark very accurately. How can it be round like a drum?

That painting is NOTHING at all like the biblical description of the ark of the covenant. Somebody didn’t bother reading the bible before they started painting.

Most likely Nebudchadnezzar of Babylon had it destroyed...melted for the gold.
He considered it of no spiritual value.

The Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Ethiopia claims they have it. Of course now that we have technology to test authenticity, they are keeping it secreted away from all but one monk.

The ark may be the single most fascinating object described in ancient/pre-classical times. Many of the powers attributed to it read like a bronze age people attempting to describe advanced technology/power.
To: blam
I suggest that we look to much, much older cultures for this ark.

Yes the Nazis actually did capture and smuggle back to Germany the Ark of the covenant. It really WAS a UFO engine and with the technology they learnt ,they built a Haunebu.
http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/ufo_aleman/esp_ufoaleman_3.htm
All the biblical references refer to people being burnt to a crisp from merely touching it.But the nazis found a way to use it.There was only one and that is why the nazis built only one Haunebu. They lacked the time and technology to build more engines because they deemed it too dangerous to study fully. After hearing of Hitlers suicide ,they realised the end was near and destroyed everything connected with the project.
Perhaps the engine is buried somewhere in Germany.

What would such a wonder look like in our postmodern world? What might it do?
If it fell into the wrong hands, such as the wondrous hands of Barak Obama, it would become the "Holy Harbinger of Change"......

Must we have an ark to believe in Christ as savior and to follow His teaching to have faith in God? Must we have articles and relics of the old covenant to embrace the new covenant that Christ brought?
The ark. The shroud of Turin. The various relics of antiquity.
Interesting, but who needs them? Those whose faith is so weak that the cares of the world will consume it and them.

One of the deuterocanonical books, I think it might have been Maccabees 1, said that Jeremiah hid the ark on Mt. Nebo. That may be a late tradition, but I wonder if anybody has looked around the trans-Jordan hill country.
