That WAS a very impressive speech—especially the part ‘slamming the empty rhetoric’ of the Marxist from Illinois.

McCain's speech was very good. He hit all the right notes tonight. But speeches are only one factor in garnering votes. Between now and election day in November, I hope McCain offers something of real substance that will enable most conservatives to vote for him. Like a solid conservative choice for his running mate.

I'd hate to see Obama or Hillary as POTUS and CIC. Our troops deserve better.

McCain won’t win, he can’t promise the idiot masses as much as Obama or Hillary, and his 20 million illegals won’t be able to vote yet. I think the GOP should have run Bob Dole again, third time’s a charm!

Obama just lied about McCain’s position.

Calling McCain’s position being for ‘100 years of war in Iraq’

Sad.

It was a good, sincere, (and dare I say) conservative speech.

McCain touched on the things I hold important, and I hope he repeats the elements in the speech manifold times.

Obama's speech, by contrast, waxed on with erroneous criticism of the Bush economy (I would almost bet that Obama has not taken so much as a course in traditional economics), he hawked the usual cognitively dissonant lies about the war, and (of course) he offered up "free lunches" as far as the eye can see.

Yeah, I watched it. I'm still waiting for him to admit he has seen the light and is abandoning any further attempts at his stupid amnesty plan.

Now THAT would truly be "a great speech," IMO.

I see Huckabee is barely beating Romney in the Washington Primary (22% to 20%).

It’s pretty bad when you barely beat a candidate who not only dropped out 2 weeks ago, but has already endorsed your opponent and asked his supporters to vote for your opponent.

Of course, he’s also losing to McCain by about 25%.

Yep and now it’s time for Mike Huckabee to get real and drop out of the race. He’s starting to become a real embarrassment.
