"It's over" (Hillary supporter in Arkansas says Obama will win nomination)
ArkansasTimes.com ^ | February 18, 2007 | Max Brantley

I'd be happy to be wrong. For a variety of reasons, I'd prefer Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic presidential nominee.

But it's not going to happen. She'll be clobbered in Wisconsin tomorrow. She might run ahead, even win, the popular vote in Texas, but the delegate count will be close, probably pro-Obama. The media talk, the popular mood, the times -- they all work for Obama.

Finally, there's been the Clinton campaign. Fighting, seriously, today about Obama's borrowing of rhetoric from a friend is a sign of desperation. Obama is derivative. So is everyone. And Bill Clinton -- who knew? -- has proved to be a negative.

The media megaphone can't be underestimated.

Some of it is crazy. Some of it unfair. So is life.

Obama will win the nomination. Polls today say he'll beat McCain everywhere -- in every key state and nationally. Those same polls said the same thing about Hillary Clinton's sure dominance a few months ago.

For the record.

The first weapon against Obama that most of America probably is not aware of..

Obama believes babies who survive abortion should not receive medical attention and be allowed to die post-birth.

Yes...Obama is pro-infanticide.

Now I know most here at Freepers don’t think there is much a difference between this practice and partial-birth abortion - or regular abortion, but I think there will be many folks out there who may consider themselves pro-choice, but will still shrink at the idea of a living baby being left to die with no treatment or pain magagment care.

Compared to her resume', Obama's blank resume' looks golden.

Right, and Obama's resume is that his Senate opponent, Jack Ryan, wanted to have public sex with his wife Jeri at several clubs. Otherwise, he'd still be in the State Senate.

McCain can't win. It doesn't matter if Reagan sits at his right hand, he can't win.

Conservatives are only a plurality of the Republican Party and have only one chance to effect national policy. They can refuse to support McCain. Without their vote, McCain can't win. Without a hope of victory, the financial well will go dry and the RNC will be forced to look to a compromise.

McCain as a candidate is the poster boy for bad news. He's the only member of the Keating Five who has survived. He's anti-conservative, both in his rhetoric and his voting record. He's old ... and he's angry. Not someone who will elicit confidence with the nuclear football. But most of all, for Californians, he's willing to surrender our national sovereignty to further his chances for election.

Arkansas is the closest thing we have to a banana republic within the US. It is the rough analog to a third-world country. We should not be surprised that the wife of the leader tries to become the leader - it fits the profile.

Yeah, and Ill sell you a bridge in Brooklyn, or is that Brookline? LOL,

Obama could not win this election short of handing out 1 million dollar checks to the entire population.

“What kind of fool supports a guy with no resume and a muslim back ground while we are at war with radical islam?”

Liberals with barely functioning brains who want to feel good about “making up” for slavery, 150-odd years ago. They can’t function rationally, then only vaguely know it feels good, like a baby does when it’s getting its diaper changed.

Was not finished, sorry, The Pentagon controls much of the Presidents decision’s on such matters. No worry there.

Just worry about Islam Facists taking over Pakistam in the next few days, much more real threat than your self motivated statement.

Bwaaa-haaaa-haaaaa!

Bill largely sees his WINO*'s campaign as bolstering his 'legacy'. I love the sound of dreams getting nuked in the morning (or any other time)!

” Is it possible that there are even some in the media and the party who have a tiny problem with that and are willing to grab the chance to slither out from under the rock they put themselves under?”

I bet the KKKlintons are amazed that the media is treating them as if they were Republicans. Now he knows how it feels to get no breaks and have every move interpreted negatively.

I want her OUT of the running yesterday .......Albeit I WILL NOT LIKE IT but I can deal with McCain or Obama vs losing my mind with her at the Helm.

All Clintonistas must go the fook away forever !

But honestly from what I read , hear and see she is far from beat IMO.

Pray I am wrong and she is toast !

I listened to Sean Hannity on the way home for awhile...first time in a LONG time. He's thinking about discontinuing his "Stop Hillary Express", because the word is that she'll soon be a lost cause. I didn't catch all the details. I DID hear him say that if she loses Texas, that it's OVER for her!
