What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback and let me tell you something, For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I have seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues. It has made me proud."
There are lots of other countries to choose from anytime she is ready.
Has this been taken down? I don't see it now.
I look for Michelle to acquire handlers after this incident. She can’t hide who she is and she’s letting us know loud and clear that she isn’t First Lady material.
In fact, Michelle isn’t even ready for prime-time and neither is her muslim spouse.
Wow, an Ivy League grad and rich, popular, lucky, and rising to the top of liberalism’s socialist pacifist paradise and now, now, she is proud of this nation! What a spoiled brat as well as a throwback to a ‘30’s and ‘60’s radical blatherer with too much time on her hands.
I am 54 and I am proud of my country’s past accomplishments, but like tasty clams left on the sidewalk on a hot day, it’s turned...
I realized late last year it went from a fear to a rock solid realization.
Just heard a discussion about it on FOX. Glad to see this huge hidden (and obviously true) feeling of Mrs. Obama and her husband is getting air time. That combined with the fact that he doesn’t put his hand on his heart for the Pledge of Allegiance, nor will wear an American flag on his lapel...it all makes his patriotism very suspect.
I don't believe she said "my country." She said "America." Big difference IMO.
Then there was Jane Fonda sitting on top of a Viet Cong Tank spewing anti-American venom while the truly brave and honorable sat a few feet away tortured by their vicious captors while back home in America countless stupid anti-war protestors and Walter Cronkite worked to destroy the very foundations of our great American traditions and values. Not a prideful time at all, except for those that stood valient against Communism, defending Freedom.
Hey, perhaps we should give Mrs. Obama a break. Not easy being the wife of the official first black presidential candidate battling against the guy who thinks he is the first black president running for his third term and his wife who thinks she is entitled to be our president just because her dear husband screwed it up and around. Mrs. Obama is not a veteran campaigner, nor is she going to be in a position to declare war, or sign legislation.
Finally, we should look through her eyes, live in her skin and mind to understand her experience and what she meant to say. I'm sure she meant to say "I've never been prouder..." perhaps?
No, I’ve read the transcript, she said “My country”.
Well perhaps Michelle and Barry can move to Cuba, they are looking for Hope and a new leader. Their Left Wing Liberalism will fit in very nicely down there.
LOL. They're ALL disgusting. We have a choice of spouses: Obama who isn't proud of being an American, McCain who steals pain meds out of charity boxes, and Clinton who is a lothario. Some choice.
She is a no class radical.
Most the time the truth comes out. She means it. She does not like this country most of the time.
Then it is assumed that she was not proud when this country gave her one of the best educations on this earth.
Or, the fact that she was granted the opportunity to attend a prestigeous University gaining her prestige and wealth?
According to her family her scores were just about average. Guess she wasn’t proud when she was chosen to Harvard, or Harvard Law School.
I guess equal opportunity laws that entitled her to climb over the back of others higher in scholastics had nothing to do with her being proud of the vountry she was born and lives in.
Oh, Well, Maybe her husband also feels the same way about his country. Then one would have to wonder what country they do feel proud of. So why should Obama aand his wife live in the White House for 4 years?
Thanks for the pictures, this is the image, I had in my mind, when I heard her utterance. I just can’t wait, for the
Obama’s to pass out, the koolaid...Jimah Jones, anyone!
I am soooo tired of politics 24/7. I’m going back to Murder She Wrote (all of which I’ve seen a dozen times already). Grrrr.
