PRISTINA, Kosovo -- Kosovo's parliament declared the territory a nation on Sunday, mounting a historic bid to become an "independent and democratic state" backed by the U.S. and European allies but bitterly contested by Serbia and Russia.....

Expressing support for a Russian invasion of Kosovo - where U.S. troops are deployed - is effectively treason.
We need to keep Russia contained, not encouraging them to invade Kosovo. Russia continues to aid terrorist states like Iran and Syria, and many Americans have died in Iraq due to Russian support of Saddam Hussein.
Don’t get too bent out of shape, insults are the traditional tactic of the apologists on these Serbian echo-chamber threads because, well, they don’t have the facts to justify their long-standing tribal hatreds.
So, “idiot” = anyone who doesn’t buy into their Serbian lies & propaganda.
Some things never change.
Most are too smart to believe all the pro-Muslim lies and propaganda pushed by the media. Further, they know the Albanians are big liars and a very violent tribal people who still practice the blood feud.
Another foolish post. The Serbs in hiding are in BH, not Serbia. How come almost no one has been prosecuted from Croatia and BH? Considering atrocities committed on all sides, the world only condemns the Serbs.
Will California and Arizona be close behind?
No such thing in Serbia.
And the death toll from the wars are always much lower than the media and Muslims claimed and found to be in the largest part soldiers or militants.
—Good thing Clark isn’t in charge anymore... —
Yup. And to think of all the Dhimmi whackjobs back in 2004 who were pushing for this guy to be POTUS! Almost as scary as Shrillary with a hotflash.
Anyone who advocates or accedes to Russian military involvement in Kosovo is acting against our troops.
Why are our troops there at all? To defend the rights of muslim terrorists, thanks to Clinton.
I dislike Putin but in this instance I wish for his response and welcome it. I wonder what he will say in public?
That is a separate issue. I didn't agree with Clinton starting an air war there, but I do realize that it is insane to invite Russian interference there now.
As a Pole I protest against such silly comparison!
"Some parties in other states could realise that they do not feel completely at ease within a big state in which they are now."
The Serbs are the Christians, the Muslims are liars , murderers and rapists. The Muslims are burning churches. They are actively pursuing the extermination campaign that got interrupted when their Nazi Allies were defeated in WW2. The area is now a training ground for terrorists and a drug/ weapons conduit that flows both ways. Yes the Russians are the bad guys to all my fellow freepers. I don’t like anything about Russia except their women! But...but...in this case they have a National interest in how this works out. They are the traditional allies of the Serbs. They will do something, I am sorry that we have troops there. I support my troops anywhere, anytime, but Russia can and will do something. Why are we on the side of vilest scum in the world, the Muslim terrorist operating in Central Europe? Because we elected people who make evil and morally corrupt decisions. Bill Clinton put us there and George Bush lets the Dhimmi run State Department keep us there protecting the snake until its fangs grow long enough to bit the hand that fed and nursed it.
"In the near future Abkhazia will appeal to the Russian parliament and the UN Security Council with a request to recognise its independence."
SOUTH OSSETIAN PRESIDENT EDUARD KOKOITY
"South Ossetia will in the near future appeal to... the UN with a request to recognise our independence."
Georgia and Russia, among other countries, how about Spain? will feel the boomerang effect of this one.
"The Georgian leadership will never recognize Kosovo's independence," said Konstantin Gabashvili, the chairman of the country's parliament's Foreign Relations Committee.
The Romanian minister of foreign affairs, Adrian Ciorajanu, stressed that the position of his country towards independent Kosovo has not changed, and his country will not recognise the declaration.
