TOP 10 REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN
Don Feder's Cold Steel Caucus ^ | 02/14/2008 | Don Feder

Posted on 02/16/2008 1:49:07 PM PST by Witch-king of Angmar

I just got back from the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., where conservatives began lining up behind a man who’s been sticking it to us for years. By a process of self-hypnosis, many have managed to convince themselves that McCain is actually one of us.

Not for nothing did Benjamin Disraeli call conservatives the stupid party.

What part of John McCain do we not get? McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Feingold, McCain-Lieberman, McCain-Edwards -- among other socialist, anti-speech, open-borders, enviro-Marxist measures he’s co-sponsored with the hardcore left of the Democratic Party over the years.

If Il Duce had served with him in the United States Senate, there would be McCain-Mussolini.

I hear ya. That’s been my tune since GB I broke his “no new taxes pledge.” When conservatives find themselves looking at a Republican Governer like Arnie, who signs a bill calling the use of the terms “mom and dad” too heteronormative for the rump-ranger lobby, we have been singing the “oh, but a least he’s not Mr. X” chorus for too long.

I'd rather have the Democrats destroy this country than a Republican pretender foisting liberal policies upon it and obliging the party to justify and defend them.

This election cycle is all but lost for us conservatives on FR...if the nation makes it to 2012 and there is some hope left by then, maybe I will vote in 4 years time...

McCain was forced on us with the help of Soros' money, Democrats crossing over, voter fraud in Washington, etc. If the GOP realizes they can push anyone on us, we will never get a conservative candidate. It is time to say NO.

McCain is no different from Hillary or Obama. All of them are unfit to be POTUS. I'll vote 3rd Party.

“I have thought....... rationally.”

Well we vote on PRINCIPLE. We don’t rationalize away our principles. It’s gotten to the point where the GOP has NO principles - so you keep “rationalizing” that away.

“Reality, that is pragmatic reality, leaves no alternative but voting for McCain or not voting and thereby electing Hillary.”

Good word choice!

Pragmatism is for people who have NO PRINIPLES.
We have principles.
We REQUIRE the GOP to get back to principles.
We are sick and tired of holding our noses.
Enough is ENOUGH! Let Hitlery have it. There’s not much difference between the leftist Maverick and her.

A non vote is NOT a vote for Hitlery.
Please stop this NONSENSE.
A NON VOTE isn’t a vote for anyone.

“If you don’t vote you are damned for all time”

We’re not “dammed” at all. It’s just a temporary setback for the nation - 4 years.

BTW, when I die, I’ll be in heaven.

For the same reasons you give- I cannot ever vote for Clinton or Obama. The thought of our military under their command should give every conservative something to think long and hard about. The detestable McCain is better than either of the libs.

I voted the first time for the RINO Red Arnold and came to regret my vote. He's destroyed the CAGOP and implemented Democrat policies in office. Do we want McCain to do the same on the national level? NO THANKS!

Great find.

This should be standard reading for every conservative.

If we just fall in behind McCain now like wimps, we guarantee a President Obama or a President Billary.

Someone in the GOP elites better realize that McCain unbridled is a major loser, and we conservatives are not coming to the rescue this time.

Not for this SOB.

Boll Weevils
Once upon a time there were two, male, boll weevils. One had acres and acres of cotton all to himself. The other had nothing ... not even one single cotton boll.

The two weevils met the same girl weevil on the same day. They actually started dating her at the same time. As things would go, they both asked her to marry them at the same time.

Can you guess which one she chose?

The one with nothing. Know why?

He was the ‘lesser of two weevils’!

I agree. Allowing McCain to define the Republican brand name is something like Coca-Cola marketing dish-water as the real thing.

YUP!

We’ll we now reap what we’ve sown.

LIBERAL candidates because we KEPT LOWERING our standards in what we want and the country needs in a Presidential candidate and still - PEOPLE DON’T GET IT!

It’s the SOS scare tactic crap and the nonsense of .... you know ... well, I say LET HITLERY HAVE the WH! Let her HAVE it. Just like after Carter people will be thrilled to get someone with a BRAIN in to clean it up. Sometimes people have to learn the hard way.

There are 140,000 reasons to vote for McCain...

Well said. With McCain we may buy the needed time to salvage what's left of the conservative wing of the party, and live to fight another day. With Hillary or Obama, no chance.

The American people should see who the Democrats really are. Give Hillary or Obama four years and the GOP should be back in power for a generation. That's what I want!

The Republicans in congress have a much better chance at stopping Hillary (which I don’t think can be elected) or Obama than stopping McCain.

Just a simple fact.

And ALL need to be stopped.

.......A NON VOTE isn’t a vote for anyone.....

Think carefully about all the nonvotes for Ross Perot and then think about Bill Clinton and then weigh the value of principle against the well being of America.

While you are standing on unbridled principle for four years........ you might die, Hillary might very well get you killed

Same here. I want to see the GOP clean up its act.

NO MORE RHINO’s!

Two reasons TO vote for John McCain:

1. Madam Speaker, I present to you the President of the United States, President Hillary! Rodham Clinton!

2. Madam Speaker, I present to you the President of the United States, President Barak Obama!
