TOP 10 REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN
Don Feder's Cold Steel Caucus ^ | 02/14/2008 | Don Feder

Posted on 02/16/2008 1:49:07 PM PST by Witch-king of Angmar

I just got back from the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., where conservatives began lining up behind a man who’s been sticking it to us for years. By a process of self-hypnosis, many have managed to convince themselves that McCain is actually one of us.

Not for nothing did Benjamin Disraeli call conservatives the stupid party.

What part of John McCain do we not get? McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Feingold, McCain-Lieberman, McCain-Edwards -- among other socialist, anti-speech, open-borders, enviro-Marxist measures he’s co-sponsored with the hardcore left of the Democratic Party over the years.

If Il Duce had served with him in the United States Senate, there would be McCain-Mussolini.

By a process of self-hypnosis, many have managed to convince themselves that McCain is actually one of us.

There are essentially two types of McCain voters:

1) The type described above by Feder, who have to delude themselves into thinking McCain is something he's not just to keep their sanity. These types will believe anything as long as it makes them feeeel better.

2) Those who recognize McCain for what he is (which is no conservative) but simply prefer him to the alternative (Hillary or Obama). These types (correctly) assert that moderate SCOTUS justices are preferable to ultra liberal ones, and that McCain is far more likely than his Donkey opponents to take the fight to our Islamic enemies. They also understand that GOP nominees being less-than-conservative is nothing new (Nixon, Ford, GHWB, Dole, and GWB....to name but a few), and that if they wait around for the next conservative Republican nominee they very well could be waiting for...ever.

I say LET HITLERY HAVE the WH! Let her HAVE it.

And the next time we are attacked by the Islamo-facists after Hitlery dismantles our military and intelligence services may just result in such damage as to result in this natation's inability to recover. Then it won't matter who became POTUS in this election as there will be no country left. Great plan for the future, that of allowing that Bitch to take this country down. No thank you. I'd rather have a liberal GOP POTUS and at least have an opportunity to work towards rebuilding the GOP, then to have this country destroyed and no change of change take place.

I'd rather have the Democrats destroy this country than a Republican pretender foisting liberal policies upon it and obliging the party to justify and defend them.

And how quick do you think the country would recover from the destruction the Rats would cause?

I bet all the FR who dogged Ron Paul now wish he was the front runner. Ron Paul is the better choice of the three. At least he will not destroy the Union.

McCain was forced on us with...voter fraud in Washington,

That, sir, is a bald-faced lie. I ask you to retract it. There was NO fraud in the GOP caucus. Just because the Huckster doesn't understand how a caucus runs, and is ignorant of the geography and rules of the WA State GOP (after all, he didn't even come to visit WA), is no reason to slander the good folks of the WA State GOP.

About 15 years ago, I spent several days watching C-SPAN cover the Select Senate hearings on our missing POW's and MIA's conducted by Senators McCain and that lying treasonous scum John Kerry.

It was the saddest and yet most infuriating thing I have witnessed in my entire life. They discredited all evidence that any of our missing men were still being held even existed. They refused to accept stories of sightings and evidence presented by families and loved ones of our missing men, and in fact called the families idiots for still believing there were prisoners being held. McCain was the worst of the two, and spewed venom and hatred against anyone whose testimoney disagreed with his predetermined opinion. They ultimately declared the subject closed and locked up everything presented so there could be no further searches or research on the subject.

McCain and Kerry sentenced our remaining POW's and MIA's to death. They essentially told our Viet Con enemies, "Keep them. They're yours, we won't give you any trouble. Go ahead and kill them, because we don't want them back."

That coming from Kerry didn't surprise me, however from one who had been a prisoner himself, I expected John McCain to use his power as a senator to move heaven and earth to find and bring his missing brothers in-arms home. Sadly, the executioners at Auschwitz could not have been colder or more heartless than John McCain in those hearings. He showed himself to be a man totally devoid of humanity and compassion. If he could do this to his fellow American POW's he could easily do it to any one or anything of lesser importance. I vowed at the end of those sad and disgraceful hearings, that I would do everything in my power to oppose John McCain in anything he ever aspired to.

Consequently, I consider it my patriotic duty to vote against him. He does not deserve to be an American, let alone the president of the United States. John left his soul in VietNam.

Last week I had the good fortune to discover that there is an organization who has also never forgotten McCain and Kerry's treasonous actions. They even have a video link to those old hearings of Senator McCain berating a family member and other snippits of the hideous hearings. check out the site of VietNam Veterans against John McCain for yourself and see if you can still vote for him.

I can't and won't. To Maine Mariner, whose son, nephew and neice are in Iraq, and to originalbuckeye whose son is at USNA, keep in mind, if John voted to leave his fellow POW's in the hell-hole of Viet Nam, what makes you think he wouldn't abandon your loved ones too? Tha man has no heart.

Two reasons to vote FOR McCain - 1) President Clinton and 2) President Obama.

One very big reason NOT to vote for mccandycain - 1) president mccain.

The alternative is scary. Its been a generation since the American people discovered Jimmy Carter. They need to learn again what it means to turn the country over to the Democrats.

I want the GOP in power, too. Unfortunately that won’t happen with people like you sitting on their hands. Four years of a Clinton or Obama Presidency will devastate our country. The Supreme Court will be decidedly left again, the Environmentalists will have more power than the Military and the Global Warming crowd will be funded by our more than excessive new tax structure. Both the Dems and the GOP have been drifting leftward for some time. The only way to halt this is to take the power back. The GOP politicos have lost their way in recent years. I think those people get it. At least I hope they do. Electing McCain is the only way to prevent a return to the Clinton/Carter type of governance. I pray that McCain is not too destructive. As the race stands now I do believe McCain is the best for our Military.

“Denying the democrats victory is THAT important.

They stabbed our troops in the back on the battlefield.

I will never forget that, or ever forgive.”

Your exactly right. Thats why this war has lasted so long. I think at least half of the casualties of this war are directly related to the complaining of the dems and some Republicans. McCain stabbed us in the back right here at home with his shamnesty bill. I’m not going to support him for the same reasons.

I can’t vote for McCain...he has no respect for the first amendment, nor does he seem to understand that America’s borders must mean something.

Sorry, can’t do it. I will not be part of fulfilling the MSM’s design: McCain/Hillary.

Have you ever worked with any Arabs? Ever had any business dealings or day to day contact?

What do you really know about Arabs?

I suspect you are shooting from the hip at whatever moves

Great idea. Don’t vote or get involved this year and the Conservative Movement will become that much more irrelevant.

I think it would do the opposite, we do have the 2010, and 2012 elections to look forward to. If we rally behind him, gives him and others like him a mandate, they would think the conservativism is dead. If we don't and make sure the real conservative nominees get heard the next 2 election cycles its a better deal. and besides if hillary wins that will definately strengthen the conservative base.

You political pragmatists are just like the folks who want to capitulate with the muzzies: you'll compromise your values in the hopes that they'll eat you last.

Umm, no.

The choice is between the PROVEN cannibals with a boiling pot and truss ready to cook you, or the guy who's not even sure he is a cannibal, doesn't have a pot, and doesn't have a track record of eating people.

Which would you choose - Russian roullette with a 20-chamber revolver and a single bullet (McCain), or Russian roullette with a Colt 1911A and a full clip (Hillary! and Obama).

You don't seem to understand - there ISN'T another choice. That's it. You pick up which gun you want to use. As for me, without any alternatives, I'll take the revolver thank you very much...
